I think the kid is bright and energetic whenever he comes on. The academy is really churning out not just talented players but players that seem to play very hard for the badge. People in the Villa post match thread were giving him a hard way to go for some reason not really looking at the context of how that entire game went. The kid has load of skills and energy and I expect him to get more and more opportunities as the season goes on.
Closest I’ve seen yet to David Silva. Play seems to slow down around him and his weight of pass is uncanny. Teammates don’t need to break stride and that makes a huge difference at this level. We must keep a clear pathway for his progression.
I like him more centrally with freedom to drift wide.
He isnt being rushed, but I hope he can get more minutes over time where Pep trusts him to replace the tired player rather than when we are winning 3-0.
This lad has got something special. A little bit wasteful at times, but a raw talent with immense potential. Lovely style to his play, and a goal el mago would have been proud of. Got a bright future with us.
