Lacking in passion. Lacking in atmosphere. Lacking in commitmentWhat are Pep’s views on the home support then?
I mean HIS views not what the media says. :-)

so the only people he tackles are the coaches, yikesFrom the Guardian two years ago ...
"Irreverence. It has always been a strong characteristic of Cancelo. In Benfica’s Under-15s team he once made an ugly tackle on his coach, Bruno Lage, because he was unhappy about not playing the decisive phase of the season."
João Cancelo: how tragedy became motivation for Portugal’s rising star
The Manchester City full-back witnessed his mother die in a car accident when he was 18 and making her proud has been his focus ever sincewww.theguardian.com
I think this is where we miss that one strong character who isn't afraid of confrontation like Fernandinho.
Great post blue spot on.The revisionism on here is pathetic. Listening to some you'd think we were offloading a player of Sunday league quality. And the fantasy of Foden being kept out of the squad to keep him out of Cancelo's way? Where the fuck do people come up with this shit?
He had a poor half-season, but the same could be said for most of the squad. If his attitude stunk, then I very much doubt it's something that happened overnight, which begs the question why haven't the club been laying the groundwork for a replacement? They've had all month.
Our three best centre backs are made of glass, so when they invariably break down again, Ake will have to drop back into the centre.
The club don't get much wrong, and if he came to blows with Pep then fair enough. But Arsenal have bolstered and we've lost an experienced squad member, giving us 24hrs to fill a glaring hole in the squad.
Yep, backing pep all the way here. One of the rumours doing the rounds is that he squared up to Pep. Only on winner there.
Zinchenko left in July or whatever and it seems Cancelo has come back from the December World Cup a bit miffed, I'm not sure you could foresee that the senior player - generally regarded as one of the best in the world in his position - was going to act in the way he has nor that his form would dip so much. Oleks would have been offered a salary and role by Arsenal that we didn't think was good value for a back up player, because we're a well run club and don't just throw cash at players when they come begging.Says in The Athletic article that 'It has been known for some time that Cancelo is like a volcano' and that he's previously thrown strops after being left out of big games.
Just makes the decision to let Zinchenko leave look even worse.

Totally agree. A squad of players that are dedicated to the clause is much better than a team of individuals imoi’d rather have players with us who want to stay. zinchenko wanted to leave, was offered a lot more in wages and more game time, and we were offered a decent amount for him.
would much rather allow players to leave as long as we get their value back. better than some tyrant owners who keep unhappy players by forcing them to stay with unreasonable fees and refusing to accept offers.
don’t understand this whole narrative of not letting players go who want to, would rather a smaller squad of players who love playing in sky blue and are willing to fight for their place rather than a big team full of players who are unhappy and want to leave.
