We are probably the only club in the top 4 that have weakened in January, let alone in a position where we have been crying for a player for years. Start of the season everyone was worried that we had 0 backup for Cancelo at LB and we have gone and loaned him out. Had a good week till now as well to sort out a LB.

Except sod's law operating when he scores Bayern's winner in Istanbul?

You can bet to fuckery that if we came up against them (and he was allowed to play) that we would target him majorly. Same way we did with Zinchenko.

Mahrez and/or Bernardo would have a field day against him.

This. If Ake picks up a lenghty injury we are well and truly fucked.

Don’t see any problem with letting any unhappy player leave. Player power is a blight on the game. Thank fuck we have a strong manager with full support from the club. Look what happened at united or even city at times in the past. The top brass would need to get their finger out and get pep the players he needs. Full backs are a fundamental position in Pep’s teams and we have neglected that area for too long with patch up jobs. Time we recruit.

What could possibly go wrong with an injury prone Ake and Laporte deputising at left back until the end of the season. You just know Gomez will be our only option in a few weeks time

Claims that Cancelo squared up to Pep! And got a bollocking from players such as Dias and Foden for doing so.

If true, it's no surprise he is being loaned out.
No surprise at all. That’s not the issue I’m raising. Who is briefing these stories to the press given the media’s horrendous treatment of our Club

1. He stayed for 6 years trying to become 1st choice but other than a drop in form, he wasn't the #1.

2. He got a salary bump from 10k weekly to 150k weekly

3. Zinny had good days but also bad days (CL Final being the biggest).

So would you say no?

He wanted to go for more playtime and money!

This is sort of like the Kompany leaving thing.. we were getting fleeced over Maguire and walked away after someone overbid. That same thing happened with Cucurella but it was Kompany and Zinny's choice to leave!
#3 - actually West Ham last year was worse and could well have cost us the title. Seems to have been airbrushed into history by the Zinch Fan Club.

I'm just really really really fucked off we've had anything to do with them German wankers! Some of the shit they have come out with over the years and the blatant tapping up of Sane and we are helping them strengthen their squad whilst simultaneously weakening ours is fuckin mind boggling.

Sad because he's been one of our very best players in recent years. Incredibly entertaining to watch. His assists with the outside of his foot are amazing. Will miss his passing, pace and direct style.

But apparently he's been creating disruption and negativity in the squad since being benched for patchy form. If that's the case and he's bringing down the vibe of the entire team then it makes sense. Would have been nice to have more warning, so we could have enjoyed watching him play one more time. This and Bernardo potentially leaving in the summer will be big losses
