Berbardo's situation was different,he was constantly in and out of the side,he wasnt afforded the luxury of consistency or being played regardless,as he was the patsy for Gundogan and KDB.Many of us stated,as soon as he gets a run in the side he would shine again - Kev's injury made that happen.Somebody was making the same point about Bernardo back in December...He was on 0 assists and 0 goals back then, the dip in form was for too long, etc. etc. Was a daft point, as was daft to write off Gundogan, Rodri, Stones, Cancelo, Mahrez, Jesus, etc. Wish people could learn from that.
Not saying Pep should start him. Pep will find a way to help him flourish again.
With Sterling,it feels a bit more chronic/terminal to me.Hope im wrong and this current situation relights the fires,but its been too long now and im not sure we havent seen the best of him.
