Berbardo's situation was different,he was constantly in and out of the side,he wasnt afforded the luxury of consistency or being played regardless,as he was the patsy for Gundogan and KDB.Many of us stated,as soon as he gets a run in the side he would shine again - Kev's injury made that happen.

With Sterling,it feels a bit more chronic/terminal to me.Hope im wrong and this current situation relights the fires, but its been too long now and im not sure we havent seen the best of him.
The whole racist bullshit is why Bernie suffered on the pitch. You could see it had effected his mental state.

To be charitable I do wonder if Sterling's demise is linked with the absence of Aguero and David Silva of a couple of Seasons ago. . Playing alongside those 2 must have been a lot easier than Jesus & Mahrez..

File it under 'nonsense from twitter' but lets see if Raheem is there on tuesday before dismissing completely...

just mentioned this on another/this thread,

I’d be amazed if this was true. They have both been playing in the same position more often than not, and are in direct competition with each other. It doesn’t make sense that they go in together.

Sterling is currently in no position to be challenging Pep re minutes on the pitch. He is extremely lucky that Pep has backed him for so long given his performances.

Foden in theory could have plenty to moan about. His performances deserve more minutes, but I don’t think he is likely to rock the boat in this way.
