That scuffed finish and great save said it all for him at the moment.

Great build up, all the right movements but lacked a quality strike to put it away. When you're confident and in form they go in.

However, that's the weakest part of his game and it still surprises me that basic technique for kicking a ball cleanly and consistently is lacking.

I'd forgotten about that move. Was lovely and a top save by the keeper. TBF the finish wasn't an easy one. I've seen Kev send those into row Z too!

Coming across your body is never easy and the best have all sliced/missed them!

But with Raz he often hits a bobbler instead of getting through the middle of it. He rolls that along the floor and it's a goal IMO.

I believe a big part of our run of wins has been the competition for places. Nobody is really guaranteed anything and it means players are giving their all when they get on the pitch to deliver. Pep's management this season has been 10/10 for me on both an individual level and a squad level.
Agreed, which has included Pep allowing some players a bit of leeway in terms of finding form - Bernardo, Mahrez.

Business end of the season, for all our concerns about Sterling's form he's a few short months away from potential immortality.

Sometimes hitting it into the floor like he did works to the forward’s advantage, but not when your luck’s out. To be fair to Sterling, it was a decent enough connection and I don’t think he did much wrong with that chance. It was just a very good save by the keeper.

Sometimes a scuff does work out... But striking the ball properly certainly increases your chances further...

I'm one of sterling's biggest fans but if there's something to improve on it's technique.
