Looking at him he can be moulded into Rodri part 2 he has all of the tools to do great things. Tonight he was a highlight looked at that defence and it was make shift. Will he get any more game time I hope he does but others are ahead of him. If he can get in a few more games from now until the end of the season he be happy.

All his first team performances tell me he deserves to play more. Refreshing to see someone (other than Dias) with some physicality and ability to win duels
He should have way more minutes especially during that abysmal run. He was strong in the tackle, athletic and his passes were crisp. How he hasnt been ahead of gundogan only pep knows.

I feel like he can be moulded into absolutely any sort of midfielder you’d want. Just has all the raw attributes and plenty of technical ability.

The inverted fullback position is such a good role to develop in for midfielders because it forces you to develop a physical side to keep up.

But it also makes it easier to play in midfield because you are facing the pitch moreso than the actual midfielders.

O Reilly does have a slight weakness in first touch not being immaculate, but considering his age, physicality and goal scoring, clearly inverted LB is not the end game for him.

He will be a perfect 8, who helps us defend, dictate from deep, and also roam the final third to score.

That defense looked more fragile when Kovacic came on, than it was before. Nico was definitely not a problem tonight.

I can't believe he hasn't played more this season. Absolute class every time I see him. I've wanted him in the Rodri role since our form went to shit.
It's important to remember the quality of our opposition today, but I agree on the whole. If I had one criticism of Pep over his tenure, it'd probably be his handling of academy players, but in his defense, he's in a 'MUST-WIN' job and obviously feels he needs more senior players.

I’m sensing you aren’t a huge fan of Kovacic?

He's an above average 8 but he's not a 6. McTominay could do a better job at 6 than Kovacic.. and I don't want McTominay.

I'd rather get an actual DM.. hell I'd actually play O'Reilly there or bring Perrone back from loan who are actual DM's.

But no one will be as good as Rodri.. I think we (I included) are spoiled by seeing a DM as good as him and think others can just emulate him as it's playing FC25.

Top banana. Out of position (he’s actually an attacking midfielder despite playing in defensive mid in pre-season) at left back and looked quite natural.

His running style with the ball is very good.

Pep’s new left back for a year? Haha

Yeah. I wish you’d ketchup catch up
