Wouldn’t be averse to this. I can still see us picking up a couple of centre mids to replace him and Bernardo, but with Gundo’s experience it would be great to have him around even in a smaller role. Much like Fernandinho in his latter seasons.

Good news. We have lost too many good pros recently and need to address the slide. Maybe he can go onto become an assistant for us?

Either way, ilkay made the scousers cry and for that alone he can stay if he wants.

Idk, we need him for leadership but if this effects the transfers for midfield then it's bad. He's 32 not at his best either

Not at all averse to keeping him,but we cant keep stockpiling midfielders.....someone has to leave to make way for improvement,balance, and progress.
