His lack of positional awareness and rhythm are the main reason why the attacking was out of order in the first half.

He contributed a lot in defense but his movement is not quick enough to close the gap. Again I am not blaming him. But after watching this game, I guess we will definitely buy Paquetá because Kovacic's profile does not fit in the attacking midfielder role, especially the left eight role in our current system.

I wasn’t very excited when we signed him, but having seen him play for us I think he’s a very shrewd addition to the squad and looks like he’ll fit right in. Some great passes last night I thought.
 
Club did their homework on this guy. It's a shame he played no part in getting Madrids UCL medals
 
Brilliant, how Chelsea let him go for such little money in this day and age is beyond me. Class act.
 
Incredible. Good passing, gliding comfortably on the pitch. Good physicality and picking the right choice every time.

This is for the people who think only City has great players, and all our rivals have shit players. Pep will make of him a monster
