80's Music

With a few notable exceptions it was a poor decade for popular music. Virtually all of the greats of rock and roll had been and gone by the end if the 70s. It is an age thing though as others have said and in 20 years time people who are young now will be going on about how great Ollie Murs was ! ( won' t they !? ).

Nah, not having it.

Some of the sixties and seventies greats were still around and bands that are now legendary were starting.

Not everything was Stock, Aitken and Waterman and cheesy pop.

As was mentioned earlier each decade has its highs and lows and the 80s was no different.

I was having a great time in the early part of the decade. Falling in and out of love on a regular basis with stuff like Human League, Spandau, Heaven 17, Style Council on the radio and more left field stuff on my stereo and cassette Walkman.
Settled down a bit towards the end of the decade and my musical tastes blanded out as I had less time to play music privately and stopped going to the Hac and such.
Still watch the 80's TOTP's on BBC4 for a laugh and reckon that decade was top for female fashion. Bright colours mostly and a real femenine look with just the odd ladygoth for variety.
