He had 2 men to cover and chose Solanke, last night wasn't on Rico. Wolves first goal at weekend he was poor though.

I’m beginnng to wonder a bit about Rico. Got some good talent and has done well to date but I feel too often he’s just a fetch and carry merchant and also when ghee gets in the area he doesn’t shoot. Not really knocking him and I know he’s very young but think he can do more

He'd good enough for midfield, he just needs more in the attacking third.

I think he's doing very well to play a position that is pretty bloody weird, it takes intelligence and a lot of restraint to stay in position. Not sure I totally like it, but that's a different matter. Still very young.

He hasn't been atrocious. If you look at it from an objective stand point he's out muscled bigger opponents and defended well in general. Hey, you see what you want to see. That's football for most people.

There’s such an overreaction from some on here. They want perfection from a young player. He will be inconsistent, that’s fairly standard for a youngster

I would argue this is his break out season in the first team as well

There is, and that's fine, it's a safe space! But I think they are very wrong, we'll know in about 3 years!

We desperately missed Lewis’ link up play and talent for taking up positions that offer an outlet pass to relieve pressure and to progress the ball forward in to dangerous areas.

When he came on our pattern of play changed completely and we actually started to consistently threaten their goal, with the ball going through him once (or more) in the build up for almost all of our shots.

And I think our defensive display before he came on shows that he isn’t the reason we have struggled to keep clean sheets this season.

He’s not THE problem. He’s one of the problems. If we want to maintain our levels, we should be looking for the RB equivalent of Gvardiol. You can’t believe for a second the person is Rico? Our main RBs over the past few years have been Walker, Cancelo and now Rico…that’s a decline in quality. In fairness, that decline has happened all over the pitch.
