I'd say one of his worst performances - he desperately needs to work on his stamina, physicality and work rate. However, I'd also say that too much is expected of him - a midfield of Bernardo, Gundogan and Lewis was doomed to fail.

He's a very talented player, great at linking play but he isn't effective enough in either box or in transition at the moment.

Poor lad. It got like this for him during the treble season, but we were able to sub him out and give him a break. This season he's having to keep playing. He'll be back to himself after a rest.

He put the effort in more than most of them today don't get the stick! Give it the players who have more experience who dropped a fucking stinker

Simply not good enough. It’d be alright if he was playing half an hour at the end of PL games, or from the start in the easier CL games or EFL Cup games if the team was playing well… but he’s being expected to play every game from the start and he’s not good enough for that at all.

Meh. Wish he wouldn’t fall over at any touch. Ruins any momentum when one of your forward bodies is rolling about the floor after a slight knock.

He needs a Bullworker(remember them? ; ) for Christmas to hone his puny body into pure muscle.

Seriously though, he defo needs to gain some muscle mass because he's getting too easily knocked off the ball.
It’s not that he gets knocked off the ball as such, his first thought is to dive and make it look like he’s been fouled so his body is in a constant state of relaxation in the hope he gets barged into which makes him look weak.

He just needs to fucking stay on his feet and use his low centre of gravity to his advantage.

He’s a diving bastard.

Hes always going to have his physicality going against him but no defensive nous at all in top of it makes him a liability in any position I'm afraid. The good news is It's teachable, there's no reason why he cannot learn to actually defend and not just do his best raging bull act and chase anything that moves infront of him but for now he shouldn't be anywhere near the side in any position unless he's seeing out a game we've got won (anybody remember what that looks like?)

He's got a lot of talent, he's shown it when the rest of the team is there and fit and playing well.

I don't expect him to win games on his own and now he's caught up in whatever shit show the last month has been.

You're right, he goes down far too easily then looks to the ref for a foul and Foden does it too. I remember when David Silva and Aguero first came, they both went down looking for a free kick/penalty and Pep soon stopped them doing it. Those two had an excuse because they both came from La Liga where diving, feigning injury and conning the ref cheating is rife and accepted in Spain.

Foden and Rico are English so should know better but until Pep's stops them going to ground looking to the ref they'll continue doing it. That said refs need to get tough on cheating players. Legohead has his players deliberately going down faking cramp second half so they can all have a rest team talk and drinks, needs stamping out.

If players aren’t fit enough not to get cramp in a game of footy, that’s their problem and the game should carry on.

He'll be sold for £40 million and everyone will be happy.
Not a chance. What other manager/side wants his “attributes”? He is 5 foot tall. Weighs 6 stone piss wet through. Can’t defend. Runs like he’s towing a caravan. Falls over if the wind gets above 8mph and he can’t pass forward. Theres one manager in world football that would find a use for those attributes and he already plays for him. It’s Pep or bust for Rico.

It's not a matter of being fit enough, they (mostly Arsenal players) are blatantly cheating feigning cramp which is condoned by Legohead. 5 minutes later they're right as rain and running about like spring chickens. I can understand players going down with genuine cramp if they've ran their legs off in extra time because most need subbing off, but Arsenal players should be up for Oscars on their play acting. Cheating cunts.

Rico Lewis is an enigma. He's eager enough gets stuck in and he's not a bad player, but he can't defend and is nowhere near good enough to roam around midfield, especially in our team. He needs benching because he's getting worse each game and there's nothing worse than playing a player who's not confident and comfortable on the ball.
