I personally know two people who have committed suicide. How many people do you think the Clintons 'know' bearing in mind that they are two of the most powerful people on the planet? I'd be more surprised if none of their associates had committed suicide. Nothing more than coincidence in my book.

They must of all been accountants ;)

Yes but knowing someone or of someone and being indirectly linked is another thing, the Kevin Ives link that i put up smells to high heaven of murder.

-- Sun Sep 12, 2010 8:20 pm --

RIP.

RIP indeed mate, but you seem convinced that they died going into the towers? i put it to you that the planes may have not even left the ground, as i said earlier.

What's your thinking behind this mate? I see very little in the way of hard evidence about the planes?

I'm absolutely amazed at the responses on here.

Didn't ANYONE actually go to see City play that day?

I was on my way to Notts County that night for a League Cup tie, stopped off in a pub in Matlock and watched it unfold.

Absolutely shocking, but it didn't stop me heading to Meadow Lane that night!

Like I say, did no one go to Nottingham that night?

I did. Rang City before I set off, and they said just set off, as a decision hadn't been made on whether the game would go ahead. I think we were the only game that went ahead that night.

Go to the ground, and had to go into their main entrance. Everyone was silent, just watching the tv's. People were coming and going, but they'd stop, get an update, and carry on.

Surreal atmosphere. It was sombre, the goals were celebrated but half-heartedly, and to be honest, it was nice to take your mind off it. But it was surreal. Wish I'd kept my ticket from that game though.

I remember Keegan saying after the match "this game shouldn't have gone ahead, it wasn't about the football tonight" and went on to say thouands of people died that day, and some probably still were dying at that moment, and we shouldn't have played.

I remember being at work when my mate saw something on the web; he said a plane had crashed into the Twin Towers. We just assumed it was a light aircraft.

Mid-afternoon I met Steve Kay (RIP) who told me all about what he'd seen on the way to pick someone else up en route to Notts County. It wasn't until after the match when we went in a pub in the middle of a deserted Nottingham that I first saw the shocking images on the news.

I kept my ticket; it tells you to on it: "To be retained."

I was just 12 at the time so I didn't really think it was a huge thing. But now looking back on it, it's shaped the history of America. Whenever America is mentioned, people either think 9/11 or Twin Towers or they say it. Shame really.

Also, I find documentaries on 9/11 incredibly interesting. Infact, I find documentaries on all past historical events interesting. It's my TV soft spot.

Ya I was about the same, a bit younger, remember us coming in from lunch I think it was at school and one of the teachers runs up to our teacher and tells her, well what I thought was, to trains hit the twin towers, obviously they weren't trains.

I knew how bad it was but I didn't quiet grasp just how big of incident it was, and I think looking back, even at all the documentaries that were on the other night, I think one of the things that really stands out for me, that I didn't get at the time, was the God honest pure bravery of the first responders, and looking at one or two of the docs from last night, 9/11 hotel, or whatever it was called, how deeply it impacted them.
The people who died in the towers who were there working or whatever, or those who died on the plane, it was a terrible thing to happen and pure bad luck, but the cops and firefighters and co weren't there, but went simply to do their jobs, running towards it when the whole city was running from it.
Some really interesting stats here..

http://nymag.com/news/articles/wtc/1year/numbers.htm

343 firefighters killed, 343 people just doing their job, along with hundreds of others.
But what is more interesting is the knock on effects from it, the illness, the retirements.

274 retired in 01 after it, 661 a year later in 02.

Number of firefighters on leave for respiratory problems by January 2002: 300

That's a whole lot of pain and grief, that isn't yet over with to this day as we are still seeing the aftermath form, many rescue workers suffer from respiratory problems, cancer.etc all related to inhaling all that crap down at ground zero.

Damocles said:

If you mean me mate.....

Well there were witnesses that say the plane DID NOT look like a commercial airliner(see pentagon also for this), everybody seems to have ovrlooked the possibility that the plane may have been switched and the people replaced with high explosives, fuel etc, just a thought.

In all honesty, I really don't think all of these conspiracy theories have much truth. I mean yeah, the US government might have had some idea that something was gonna go down, and they probably could have done more about it. But I'm talking about all the stuff about it being an inside job and how it was done deliberately by the government.
If it really was an inside job, I don't think some American college students (the guys who made "Loose Change") would have been the first to figure it out. Also, I think that if they were, somehow, the first to figure it all out, they would have gone "missing" soon after. I mean, if the US gov't were responsible for the deaths of the near 3,000 poor souls that day, then surely a couple more wouldn't be a big problem for them? Thats just my views on it anyway...
