Unreal. 6 goals in 4 games and he and the team are not even at their best yet. If we keep him fit he could break allsorts of records this season. A monster of a player.

The boy is a phenom

His ridiculous goals per game ratio continues. I said a few weeks ago if he knocks in 25 PL goals it will be a success (and it will) but now I’m thinking he might smash that
I think the record is Shearer with 31 PL goals in a season.

At this point, that record looks under serious threat. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he could smash it to pieces.

I read an article the other day regards Mark Spitz and Michael Phelps. For those that don't know, Spitz was an Olympian swimmer from the 60's/70's, and Phelps, well I'm sure the vast majority know of him. The crux of the article was this; if Spitz were to jump into a time machine and compete with Phelps in his pomp, then Spitz wouldn't even be in frame by the time Phelps finished a length. Point being, Phelps was an infinitely superior swimmer to Spitz and reinvented standards in swimming.

I think we'll see the same with Haaland. He's a freak of nature. It's been repeated ad infinitum; if he stays fit he'll obliterate records. Because he's a Michael Phelps, he looks like he's reinventing the gold standard of being a centre forward.

We are blessed, truly blessed, to have him lads and lasses.

Totally agree. Absolutely fuming with myself for not having a few quid on the different season bets they offered on him. 5 hatricks was 80/1

He is truly a beast, with a rare combination of pace, power and positional sense. He recognises that his all-round game can improve and that makes him a very dangerous player for years to come.

With all our training reports, and scout reports, and general watching of Erling. I still think Pep underestimated exactly what we were getting when he signed .
Pep always seemed up to yesterday, a bit cold and stand offish with Erling, coming out with stuff like he will need to learn the system, he will have to adapt etc. That was until yesterday when he would have happily had man love in the centre circle with an audience !!! I think once Pep started training with Erling even he then realized the talent for goal scoring that the meat shield has, and that maybe Erling doesn't need to adapt but we and Pep do !!
If Pep had got his wish it could have been so different,

The pundits keep on going on about how many touches of the ball Haaland has , he had sixteen against Palace and scored three times , who gives a shit about how many times he touches the ball , if the pricks who make these comments watched his runs off the ball and the defenders he takes with him they might just realise there is a lot more to being a world class striker than touches of the ball.
Ive watched some really brilliant strikers over the years Gerd Muller , Jimmy Greaves , Lewandowski , Benzema, Aguero etc. and none of them are constantly involved in games , but they are there when it matters , sticking the ball in the onion bag.

They forget who our manager is. Pep is one of the most tactically revolutionary and pioneering managers in the history of sport- not just football, any sport. If he decides he wants to go back to the days when the striker wasn't involved in build-up, not only is he perfectly entitled to do so, he'll probably inspire half the league to do the same in the next five years.

Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery and that is a fact regarding Senor Guardiola , the best coach to grace the game , bar none.

Seen this and there is literally nothing in it. Just dippers trying to stir stuff up. He’s walking off knackered, hugs him twice. Nowt in it.
In the thread yesterday a lot was being made out of it. Saw it on Match of the Day and as you say there is nothing in it. Glee from the manager, a combination of exhaustion and disappointment from the player, the latter of which we love to see when a player goes off.
