Rumours that Haaland has a Madrid-specific clause started maybe yesterday, but picked up for the first time this morning. By this afternoon City had already contacted journalists to deny it. We never got any denial at all from City that there's a release clause and that was reported months ago, so I think this is as close as we'll get to confirmation that there is indeed one.

It’s a little thing but I can’t explain just how much I love his interactions with the inexperienced players. The way he is with Alvarez, it’s like he’s his little brother (even though Alvarez is the eldest!) and the way he treats Palmer, Lewis etc the same as everyone else. These global superstars are very rarely so humble. In KDB and Haaland we have two perfect players. They don’t have an ego, they are the best in the world yet they are as humble as academy players. We’re blessed.
