If we are looking to sign someone on 300k a week that has the ability to completely miss the ball from 2 yards out I'm putting my name forward.

He doesn't get frequent service because he isn't good at holding up the ball/linking the play. To be fair to him, he is fouled nearly every time he has his back to the defenders but the referees rarely give the foul.

exactly, the mantra this season has been to foul him hard from behind when he's not aware of it. And for some reason, the refs accepts it as fair play. It will for sure injure him one day. Haaland is too nice, he needs to start accidently elbowing those who do this to him.

Just out of interest when bony was putting in these shit performances did you say the same about him because atm Haaland is terrible and there is no sugarcoating at all. A lot on here seem to be scared to call him out and say that atm he is not meriting a place in the team . He is paid probably in one week more than most on here earn in 4 years so when is doing crap he should be called out because if you where putting a show like he had at work week in week out you’d be out of the door . I’m not saying get rid but he needs to improve and quick .

He's still scored 29 goals this year already so it's a little bizzare comparing him to Bony....

First up pay is wholly irrelevant, secondly comparing Bony with Erling is a false comparison because although Erling occasionally looks as clumsy as Bony in build up play he always carries the goal threat which Bony so rarely did.

Absolutely i agree that fair minded posters like yourself should be able to point out his shortcomings. I was more having a pop at the type of entitled fans who have a hissy fit when he's not banging in hatricks every week or something similar.

Centre forward is the one position on the pitch where perceptions of the whole performance can be positively altered by one moment. If he slots in that easy chance at the back post today this thread is full of people wanking themselves silly about what a superstar he is. As it is he missed it but he'll keep getting there to give us a chance of winning games cos he's the best in the business.

At least Wilfried Bony posted funny dance videos.
Haaland needs to up his general game, or Pep needs to bench him. It's as easy as that.

Issue isnt Haaland...its how we are setup to play. It doesnt suit his attributes.

So the question is, does Pep change the playing style next season where we go more faster through transition from defence/midfield to attack ?

I dont care how good Erling is, and he is a bloody great striker, but I ask myself who would i prefer in attack (in terms of playing style etc etc) - haaland or aguero. And the answer is aguero..his style suits our playing style more in terms of movement, link play and creating his own opportunities

At the moment Haalands attributes and what he offers are not being utilsed - so we have to adapt and get the players in around him in the summer to unlock his true potential

If you put Haaland in another team who play more direct and at speed he would look more at home.

At the moment he looks suffocated and our style of build up play aint helping

Very poor again today and was easily dealt with by Arsenal CBs. What concerns me is he doesn't seem interested in trying to find space like he did last season. His link up play is poor despite being a world class finisher. Should have been subbed at HT for Alvarez who would have given Arsenal more problems than Haaland did. Needs benching but i doubt Pep will do it.

Sadly I have to agree with this. Not worth his place based upon recent games.

Its is, but so is completely missing the ball when a chance does present itself.

That would have been in the back of the net last season. Haaland has certainly missed more chances this season and was ineffective today, not sure if he is fully fit.

Try 10 years. It's fucking outrageous. If he had a proper job and put in performances like he has in most games this season, he'd be on Universal Credit within two months.
