What a finish! Peak Haaland.

Looked to get a yard of pace back that has been missing lately, makes me think that he must have been playing through some kind of niggle/pain.

Some on here mentioned he was carrying a shoulder injury or niggle for bit about a month ago. Plus he had his 2 months out with a stress fracture. In the second Real Madrid game he was barely putting any weight on one foot.

Maybe just a series of little issues

Hes been playing with pain in his foot since he returned and has been playing with pain injections.... think the time off recently has done him good and will probably now take him to end of season where he can get it fully sorted and rested given norway arent in the euros

This. Stress fractures take forever to heal.

He looked good today though.

For all the better/worse without him debaters, he’s much more useful in games like today than against Brighton.

Horses for courses.

Sometimes (Very occasionally) the press and team build up structure is more important than a 50 goal a season striker.

Great to see the way he dummied to use his left foot to shoot as the defender expected and then popped in a quick tright foot shot
Yeah, that was class. I don’t think any defender could have stopped him there because naturally they’d all be desperate to keep him from coming inside on to his left.

I’ve been critical/questioning of his return in big games. Yesterday wasn’t a “big game” in the sense that it was against a good team, but it’s only fair to praise a good performance.

Thought he looked good when he came on; sharper than he has done for ages, and immediately improved us. Also, one of his best finishes all season; a genuinely really well taken goal.

Hopefully he can fire us home to the end of the season.
