May be me but he did score a couple two weeks ago didn’t he?
He did. I’m talking more meaningful games, which I think you know. Albeit yesterday was nothing more than a glorified friendly. But against a vastly superior opposition than the game you refer to.

He had no service - I’m not saying it’s his fault. But he was non existent, that’s undeniable.

It’s also undeniable he went through a strangely baron spell at the end of last season.

Put Phil and Kev behind him and he’ll score - simple.

While I agree with most of this, I think Erland played decent considering the lack of service he recieved.

I love it when he bullies defenders, with his physic he can knock them about like skittles, does not do it enough for me, he needs to be involved far more, his biggest weakness by a long way.

Teams sit deep man mark him double treble mark him we need to get the ball to him with crosses but pep seem not like us to cross the ball because the % of losing the ball is high..

He treated that very much as a friendly,i think his main concern was getting a bit fitter and not injured.

Once our 'best' 11 starts, and we have more creativity behind him,he'll be a fucking juggernaut again.

I got that impression as well, when Ramsdale overran the ball towards his own goal, there was definitely an opportunity to dive in and try and block the clearance. In a meaningful game I'd be amazed if he didn't do exactly that. He didn't yesterday and rightly so. Big season coming up and even if he doesn't recreate the insane numbers he got last year, he'll be integral to how well we do.

I saw that as a prominent moment in his attitude towards the fixture myself.Rightly or wrongly.....it summed up his approach.

That is something he can definitely improve on and it could take him to an even higher level. If he could start to dribble a little bit with that pace and power he’d be almost unstoppable. Currently he basically needs a ball straight down the middle to chase before his pace can be utilised.
so we play like rags ?

no thanks
