Our global dominance has to start somewhere

I had to decide between this and my original answer... I think it works more coming from The Pink Panther.

NOT NOW KATO!!!!

Cato!!! If we are going to hijack this thread with movie references let's at least spell the fictional characters' names correctly. ;-)

I've still got doubts about whether Mancini is the right man - and I'm likely to vent my frustration towards him at times, so sue me. Don't really see what's wrong with that? Obviously hope my doubts prove misguided, and obviously I'm stoked with how the club is placed, but failing to see why we have to blindly follow and never disagree with anything?

Well get down to the Our stadium and ask city fans what they think of Mancini! You must of been a city fan for about 12 months or more likely your not a city fan and just come on here to whined us up with your unintelligent drivel!

Already done that a number of times, and although I'm in the minority it's obvious not all are 100% sure about Mancini. I'm sure everyone who doubts him hopes to be proven wrong, contrary to what some say.

And if accusing me of not being a city fan makes you feel your argument is stronger, good for you.

checked your posts and not a rag "I just booked my flights from Perth, Western Australia, my third trip from Oz to the UK to see City in the space of 18 months."

But are misguided my friend if you don't rate Mancini.

We have to get behind the manager as this builds strength in our team, if you had been Blackburn away and heard 7000 City fans boom out his name I'm sure your opinion may change.

At Rags it is clear that Fergie is the boss, this has to be the same with Mancini

What does he have to do to prove you wrong? What doubts do you have about him? You are entitled to your opinion of course, i'm just interested in the reasons why you doubt him still

i wonder if mancini would get these results without the hundreds of millions pumped in ?
its more this thats brought the success than him ,and i cant beleive this makes him such a god . surely hes not immune to critisism ,for me he is tactically suspect and still too slow for our league
frank clarke would have us as succesful with that money !!

lol..the old money trickery, Liverpool, Trots have had shit loads over the past decade and done not too much to name but a few. So its not just money its a part of ....forget it your not serious are ya ;0 ya nearly had me their.

But to be fair give Sam allardyce a 10th of what Mancini has had we would now have nothing left to win or achieve.

To say that anyone would have made us successful with the money pumped in is ignorant. Only 2 years ago we had Mark Hughes who brought us down to seventh after a lot of draws and then a terrible loss at Spurs.

You do realise that Mancini has worked without money before? His first job as a manager was Fiorentina, where he worked unpaid at times and had to sell key players. He even recieved death threats for this. However, he still managed to win a trophy.

Then he worked at Lazio, again selling key players and forcing players to take an 80% pay cut. Yet he still managed to reach the semi-finals of the UEFA cup and win the Coppa Italia.

To say he is tactically suspect after getting us to joint top in the league and scoring goals for fun in his second full season is mad. Sure, he has a lot of money, but he has spent well and all our players have been good buys with him. He's also improved the form of many of our players. With Hughes, Kompany was probably a squad player. Yet with Mancini he's transformed into a brilliant defender. With Richards, we even have Roberto Carlos saying he's going to be one of the best fullbacks in the world.

Sometimes, I just wish that people could be positive about Mancini and see what's infront of them, instead of trying to make up facts for their own agenda.

I'm 100% behind Mancini whenever I go to games and was part of many more booming his name at Wembley. Don't believe posting on a forum about my doubts will in any way affect the team, and don't see what that has to do with him being the boss, which I obviously agree should be the case so long as he's the manager. So I disagree - but fair play to you for digging up posts.

That's a very good question, probably too good for me to answer. So long as he makes the odd bewildering substitution (defensive-minded players for attackers when we desperately need goals to avoid a poor result) I'll probably always have my doubts. If he wins the EPL or UCL I may well admit I'm wrong, but then again I'll bet there were Arsenal fans who said that about Wenger, or Scousers about Benitez.
