I can't and won't tar them all with the same brush, but the ones that whistled and jeered (almost every time we had the ball) were morons in my opinion.
So because City rightly respected a minute's silence they shouldn't make the atmosphere as hostile as possible to aid their own team? What a weird and embarrassing thread.

So weird and embarrassing you still felt the need to post in it?

There is nothing really to be said and done about 2day really. That was a lesson in how to support a football team. Don't forget to sit at the Etihad with your arms folded on Wednesday!

At least they made some noise, unlike the fucking mausoleum that was the Etihad last week. We couldn't even generate an atmosphere against Barca.

Absolutely, we're shit fans and should fuck off back to Division Two where we belong with the others.
Are you being serious? Its fine if you are but still feckin ell

The stage when the premature millionaires of Liverpool may have actually required their fans to back them (at 2-2, 60th-80th minute or so) they were nowhere to be heard.

Our atmosphere is practically non existent these days, our record still fantastic. Footballers these days will take very little from the atmosphere, it's more for us, the spectators.

Having said that, as much as i thought the boo-ing (along with everything else - greeting the bus as it arrived at the stadium, being allowed to come out 5 minutes early and sing a song before kick off, Gerrard crying and giving a cliche riddled 'speech' on the pitch infront of the sky cameras) was incredibly childish/small time/disrespectful. i can't help think we'd have done the same thing, given the chance - the booing that is, not waving flags at a darkened window bus, 5 games before the end of the season.

Err, remember the third last game of the season in 2011/12? A small matter of overhauling a seemingly unassailable rag lead. We didn't boo for more than a few minutes.

What a stupid point to make! We've got history with the FGS. We've hated him for years and with good reason.

They've got nothing with Yaya.

Don't come back with a reply, you'll just look silly.

Are you just thick of what ?
THE WHOLE OF THE MAIN STAND AND SOME OF THE KOP CLAPPED YA YA OFF.
Is that not clear enough for you

Here's the difference and tells you everything you need to know about the scousers.

When a player is injured, they'll give them a standing ovation as they are carried off. When a Munich anniversary comes up, they will stand perfectly in silence with their brothers in tragedy shit. When Heysel comes up, they will put up a plaque and have a round of applause.

You see people say that the scousers revel in grief and this is incorrect. The scousers revel their own image of "being respectful". It's why they will have a Hillsborough memorial every single year at a Church with TV cameras and all of the pomp but not a Heysel one. It's why they will always do the things "expected" of fans because it feeds into their own bullshit ego. They don't do it out of genuine emotion but because they feel that their fanbase is "classy" unlike everybody else.

It's also why when they need to show actual respect, the type that isn't forced down your throat, they do thinks like cheer when Yaya cramps down injured.

They're a self-righteous bunch of cunts who given the slightest opportunity allow the veil to slip.

They revel in delusional self-righteousness which is why everybody think's they;re cunts.

Nobody cheered when Yaya went off. Ridiculous statement to make. Of course it was a blow to you, and gave us an advantage, but we did nog cheer him off

You're just upset you lost. Move on to Sunderland mate. Flippin heck! Smh

Yes there WAS cheers when Yaya went down.

No dramas with the booing when we had the ball. We've done the same.

In many ways the boos were great because it meant we had the ball and not them.

There was a cheer when he missed, another when he started a limp.

Pretty clear

Reallyn?? What's wrong with creating a hostile atmosphere. It clearly worked, we've done it before how the hell are people getting offended by this

Wouldnt say it made any difference to be honest. Their quality of play in the first half worked, but we came back into it despite the crowd.

If anything, when they needed the crowd the most I thought they were subdued.
