Can you explain why the club would have Micah doing a daily diary if the intention was to sell him? Doesn't exactly look like professional, attention to detail if they have him earmarked for exit.

Yeah, can't see that myself. Can you imagine his final diary entry? Also he did a video interview recently. He's the one I think will make the cut defo.

Rubbish, means nothing.

Mark Hughes was in talks and secured a new deal for Zabaleta, 24 hours before he was pushed.

Clubs haven't made their own moves, as yet...to say Richards is out and out staying, would be wrong.

so when is the wow signing gonna happen mate?

They and I, haven't said it is.

I see the MEN has an exclusive this morn - Robinho offered to Inter;)

You won't go far wrong with Billy's post, today...

A hallmark player is targeted, and would take longer than this week to secure.

Are we still after 2 strikers?

Under Sven, Richards was one of the finest young CB's on the planet. Him and Dunne were a massive improvement on last years CB pairings. I remember facing Liverpool at home that season, 0-0, we had no shots at all on target but Dunne and Richards had Torres in there back pocket all game. Stop playing him at Right back for god's sake!

The info was seven in - ten out...

If you consider Petrov, Boj are already gone - eight more.

My GUESS...

ROBBIE
ONUOHA
IRELAND
JO
RICHARDS
SANTA CRUZ
BELLAMY
SWP

For once I think my guess might be better than yours:

Logan
Garrido
Etuhu
Caicedo
Cruz
Jo
Nielson

and a Robinho swap deal.

I think if all your guesses were to go we would be weaker than we need to be and wouldn't have cover in a couple of areas.

Ha ha - I'll give you your guesses of Caceido and Garrido, only because I forgot to include.

As for Etuhu, I read he will be turning out for a prison eleven soon?

The reason for the deadline is surely the new squad of 25 rule. We need to know the total number of players in so we can calculate how many must go before 01/09/2010.

At the moment we have 38 in the first team squad. 6 of those don't count as they were under 21 on 01/01/2010. This leaves 32 so, as it stands we must get rid of 7 players. If we were to sign another 4 (incuding the wow) we would have to shift 11 players out in a month.

The transfer window is therefore bound to be frantic right up to the deadline even if it's just players going out. This is of course unless we are happy to pay players who are not allowed to play but I can't see Mancini wanting to work with an overly large squad containing disruptive influences who know they won't be playing under any circumstances.

Replace Bellers with Bridge and I'd be happy with that tbh.

Maybe give Jo another chance, ;)

I tend to disagree with your selection of outgoing players. I cant see RM getting rid of both Onuoha and Richards. My guess is Richards will stay. I also think that Ireland will stay unless he is part of package - e.g Torres - Ireland plus cash scenario. SWP - not sure about that one either as english and good cover. Don't forget we can loan these players out too.

I guess half of the problem is being able to sell the players you really dont want. Im sure we would all quite happily see the likes of Jo, Caicedo and RSC leave the club but if nobody wants them I guess we have to then start to seriously think about selling the likes of Richards, Onouha and Ireland to get the numbers down.

Just give them away if it's that important to move them on. Makes much more sense than getting rid of players we'd rather keep.

For me if we sign 3 of those players we will be good enough to challenge for the title, top 4 should be nailed on and anything less than that to be considered as an absolute failure of monumental proportions!

It will take a few weeks for us to hit our stride, last season, the opening fixtures were kind in terms of easing the new guys in.

With Spurs away and Liverpool in first two games, albeit with new players of superior quality and a winning mentality, the Premier League will still come as a major culture shock.

And if we as fans think everyone hates us currently, wait until we have stopped spending in this window.

We will finally get a taste of what manure have to put up with every week...the biggest show in town,,,with everyone trying that extra ten per cent to bring us down a peg or two.

I see us top three, but without a top quality central defender, we might have to wait another year for a season-long title fight.

It is quite possible that after the opening two games we could be sat with zero points! The press will have a field day! I just hope our fans dont expect miracles early doors. I stand by my comment that anything less than 4th is simply not good enough but I also understand that we will not win every game and it may take a few weeks for the team to be up to full speed!
