I personally don't think it right to hold a minutes silence for her at footy matches. But beyond that, I think the 'powers that be' that think this is a good idea are idiots if they think it will be respected.
What ultimately is the point? I would be surprised if any match observed the silence.

The Tyne Wear derby on Sunday would be a good place to have a minutes silence in her honour, about the only thing that would stop those two tribes fighting each other.

She hated football fans, conspired in the Hillsborough cover-up, and destroyed most of Northern England to create a country built on property and stock market speculation with all the wealth concentrated in Greater London. We have never recovered from her time in office and the gap between rich and poor (north and south) holds us all back compared with successful countries like Germany. The idea of a minute's silence for any politician, especially her, is a sick joke.

Stadiums full of emotionally charged,some alcohol fuelled,football fans aren't the ideal venue to hold a public display of respect for a woman many will have a,justifiably,deep hatred for.
