A striker in January

The people recommending journeymen like Austin need to remember that the way city play is totally different to the way many other teams play like QPR. At times today we strung 15-20+ passes together and look for the front players (Milner today) to get involved. QPR look to lump it to Zamora and win the second ball or get it wide and throw it into the box. Austin? No thanks

I wouldn't go near balotelli with a barge pole.
 
We don't need a striker. We just had a run of bad luck that all 3 of ours are down at the same time. I will suggest we sell Jovetic in the summer and replace him with a less injury prone striker though. Our best Striker is already injury prone. But he Is so good we are willing to deal with the down time. But it is not prudent to also back him up with another injury prone guy. No matter how good that guy is. Whether it's Nacho, or Ambrose or Sterling, it would be a good move selling Jovetic and replacing him with one of the above.

I'll be honest, I'm not convinced your not a closet rag given your unsubstantiated comments but I'm willing to withhold judgement if you can provide a good explanation as to your views...haven't seen anything yet to suggest you have a clue though.

So please enlighten us, what exactly could Balotelli do, accepting we could buy him for 5 mill in Jan and he then warms our bench for the rest of the season.
 
Any striker we try to get has to be eligible for the champs league, can handle life in the Prem with strength and pace and not cost too much to make sure we comply with FFP so that narrows it down to a very few and both Benteke and Austin could do a job.
