A Tribute to Manuel Pellegrini?

Gracias, Manuel...I hope he leave us with another ,at least,trophy....

I said a few weeks ago that it would be great if we could announce the appointment soon because it will act as a galvanising force for the club.

The players are now playing for their future's and the chance to play under the best manager in the world next season. Pellegrini will want to go out on a high and will be determined to win trophies.

But it's also galvanising for the fans.

No more Mancini inners, Pellegrini outers and vice versa. Everyone is now on the same page. We all wish Pellegrini well, but I'm sure we're all excited for the future and what is to come next season.

So for the rest of this season, Pellegrini should get nothing but the loudest and most passionate support, he certainly will from me.

Can't wait for Sunderland tomorrow, I think fans are going to be on a real high, and Pellegrini's name will get sung throughout I'm sure.

I really hope this announcement does act as a galvanising force and Guardiola can come in next season and take over the Champions of England!

Just listening to BBC 6 Music, the news announced that Pep will be replacing Pellegrino! Agenda!!!! ( is Maureen working for BBC now?!)

Yeah, I heard it on the 3:30 bulletin on 6Music. I nearly crashed the car!

Gracias for everything you've done for us and the way you have conducted yourself, especially during press conferences, when the scumbag journalists were trying to get a rise out of you.

Unfortunately, my Spanish isn't good enough to write any more.

Will wait 'til end of season to give my full thanks to Manuel. Classic from him, right at the end "by the way I'm off", gives them nothing :)

My lads just text me this from somewhere .... not sure if its been posted already, apologies if so

Oh manuel pellegrini
He is our charming man
He is the boss of city
And he knows the masterplan
He said to guardiola
My work is nearly done
So come and win the champions league
Then win another one

I've just found out the bad news, been in meetings all afternoon so I am still crying here. I thought I would be in a minority of one but I forgot that this is a City forum. Thank you Blue Mooners for restoring my faith. A couple of the messages I have had from so called City fans have been unbelievable.

Mr Pellegrini's dignity is outstanding, he is an amazing as well as a charming man.

I hold my hands up that I lost faith in MP a few weeks ago but having said that I think he has been a credit to the club, has been a great manager and I wish him every success and happiness for whatever the future holds.

Buena suerte, Manuel (hope I got that right)

Now go out big style

I've enjoyed a lot of the games during Pellers time but the last 12 months have been heavy going. Specifically:
  • Not taking account of the oppositions tactics or best weapons and trying to take them away.
  • Not grasping the YaYa nettle - especially against better opposition.
  • Constant high line defending that leaves us open to the rapid counter attack.
So I'm very glad to see he won't be with us next season;
- BUT -
The first season and the run up to Christmas last season, the start of this season and all recent games since Leicester have been great.
Now go for it son. Pick players who will win you stuff. Don't pamper huge egos. Go for it. Leave Pep a mountain to climb!

Have been one to criticise Pellegrini but he has shown class in how he has handled this situation, i hope that he goes out in style, he deserves it, thanks manuel.

Best game Pellegrini was in charge of was the 6-3 against Arsenal in 2013
I have to admit we have played some lovely football under Pellegrini .

He's not gone yet, I'm thinking he's far from done, the classy way in which the gaffer has reacted to all the speculation is testament to his character. Nothing but respect for him.

Also, not enough credit or respect going to the man behind the man, namely Ruben 'the celebration' Cousillas, who will be sorely missed.

He's not gone yet and has a lot of games to add to his fine reputation. Trophies to be won and Pellers is looking at going out on a high.

If he has a great season and wins us trophies, he'll get the praise he would rightly deserve from the fans and he leaves as a championship winning manager, that's enough and the best tribute. I'm not a fan of his, felt he's been holding us back and i've wanted him gone for about a year but i've never lost respect for the guy as a man, A truly class act and will remain one until he leaves.

How about a minute's applause at 64 mins to celebrate the 64 wins to date under his management.
Could go up to 65 after the next win etc etc..
Could give a round of the Pellegrini song to start it off.

Hopefully at the very least everyone will be belting out Sheik Mansour went to Spain on Saturday :)
