A Tribute to Manuel Pellegrini?

'It is impossible not to want to work here — especially if you have experience of working in other leagues. So, Pep Guardiola will work here. I don’t know if it will be next season here at City, or even at another club, but I am sure that one day he will come to the Premier League. And I hope he will have the option to work at Manchester City. I say that because I love this club and I hope, in the future, he can work here also.'

A wonderful man, if only for those words.

Will never forget his biggest contribution...steadying the ship after Bobby. That really saw this team take off and play some of the best football the PL has seen. A real class act that charming man!

He should easily land another high profile position considering his record. I just hope it isn't in the PL.

That was his greatest achievement imo. We were a fucking mess & he turned it & had us playing some of the best football this country has even seen.

If the players respond to this in th right way, he could go out with a bang this season. Really nice words from Pardew on Sky, saying he hopes we win the league so Pellegrini can go out in style.

that quote had passed me by, what a classy fucker

Best tribute would be to get behind the team even more and help, in what way we can, MP leave with a few trophies

I'm not his biggest fan from a management side of things but I am in terms of the man himself.

I think they already have responded in he right way.

He said he told them a couple of weeks ago - since then we've looked better IMO. The Everton second leg was not the performance of a team not putting effort in because they knew the manager was leaving.

Not much more to say really, I think he's probably known from the outset that Guardiola would likely be here in 3 years, no matter how we may differ in our opinions of him as a manager, I think one thing we would all agree on is that throughout it all, he's been pure and utter class, dignity personified and an outstanding human being, thank you Mr Pellegrini.

I fully agree. Absolute class. We will never have a more respectable and dignified manager. Does all his big talking on the pitch via the players and the performances. I would like to see him involved again at some point down the line. He would make a great head scout given the contacts / language skills he has and the lifestyle would suit.
