A Tribute to Manuel Pellegrini?

I am convinced that we have seen a renewed determination on the field over the last couple of weeks, and now we know why! I'm sure Manuel will be even more determined to finish the season in style and leave a lasting legacy, and hopefully that rubs off on the players.
I hope we can forget about Pep now for the remainder of the season and get on with things, I'm sure that was the thinking behind making this announcement today.
Thank you Manuel for being such a charming and respected manager for City.

They way he has handled this is fantastic.
What a gentleman.
Yes we've had a moan at him but if we win two more trophies this season he will leave on a high.
Thanks charming man

I love the bloke such a class act, weird in a way because i do think that Pep will take us up a level again. I just hope Pellers gets the trophies, respect, and acknowledgment he deserves. Good luck this season and beyond you charming man.

The title winning season was amazing, great entertainment throughout the whole season. He hasn't really built on that season, but he still deserves the respect he has shown for us. I lose it with him sometimes, but in a way, I'll miss him. Time for us to get behind him, win or lose.

This is exactly how I feel about it too. I've been so frustrated with our defending and tactical decisions recently that I would have gladly seen the back of him. However, now the time has come Im going to miss him and his ways. Such a classy man even in the most pressurised press conferences. He has handled himself perfectly and is an honour to himself and the club.

All the best Manuel and thanks for everything.

At times, he's had a bit of stick in the press....from journos etc....
But of all the managers in the premiership, the blokes dignity, and decorum is second to none.
Fair play to him

I have ranted about his lack of preparation, setting up of the team, tactical intransigence, stubbornness etc. But now the announcement has been made, I guess his overall class, integrity, decency and love for the club eclipses all of that and wether we win anything or not, I will be grateful for his tenure. This could not have been handled better.

I for one will back him to the hilt for the rest of the season. I have grown frustrated as have others with his disregard to the defensive side of the game but I do like his ethos of attacking good quality football. He's a good bloke as well and has been very dignified throughout, he must have known what was coming a lot longer than a month imo. Hope he goes out on a high (a trophy or two if possible) and gets another high profile job when he leaves.

I'm not one for hypocrisy, should have gone over a year ago. Appreciate what he brought in his first season but a lot of what happened since just wasn't good enough. Hopefully he can lead us to a couple of trophies this season and go out on a real high. That's achievable and would be something special. He will be rightly praised for his dignified manner through all of this though I'll give him that.
