Bale is worth £35-40m. There is no way Daniel Levy would swap Bale for Johnson. Remember this is the man who ripped off (er I mean sold) our 'esteemed Neighbours' Berbatov for £30m & Carrick for £18m. Also turned down a £40m Modric bid from Chelsea. Levy plays hardball and doesn't come off second best.

If it did happen where exactly would he play? on the bench like Johnson? or do we take out a striker? or take out Nasri who is a better footballer than Bale.

Either way i am happy with Johnno, is sometimes very very frustrating but then can change a game in an instant.

Bale has a concerning injury record and has had half a decent season in the Prem. Stick with AJ or replace with proven top class quality.

Johnson is good but he has an attitude that fucking stinks and he doesn't play every week. He's not in the same league.

Now if you'd said Bale for Johnson +£10M then it might be a slightly more difficult conundrum. But I'd still go for it. Bale's pace and the fact he can go outside a right back would make it worth it.

I still rate Johnno but not quite as highly as Bale.

What, Nasri is an emphatically better footballer than Bale. And at least three people ITT believing he's worth £35m-£40m...do people live in a different universe to me when it comes to Gareth Bale or something?!!

For me, and this is a genuine assessment ignoring the fact that one plays for City - there's not a lot in it between Bale and Kolarov.
