We won't get much more for him than we paid for him and management is happy for him to stay and fight for a place.

His "dream" when growing up was to play for Sunderland and only a club like City can help him fulfill that dream.

I am happy to see him have game time especially against the clubs in the lower half of the table because he will do things that improve our chances of victory but if that's not good enough for him then so be it.

Replacing him with Sinclair or the likes would not help us that much imo though.

if we get 12-15m for him and pay 5m for sinclair i'd say was good business by bobby.

agreed sinclair is younger and hungrier - he probably not farting around in a Lamborghini just to get to training like AJ

Any profit at all swapping Johnson for Sinclair is incredible business. Sinclair is the better player and younger, can't see any negatives at all.

Was always too one footed for me would go missing from games too often. He just doesnt suit our style. I prefer Drenthe.

At least he can take our penalties if the side doesn't think Tevez is up to it anymore and Mario is on the bench at the time (LOL).

I am not sure he is much more advanced in his career and level of influence on match days than AJ though.

Is faster, better on both feet and scores more goals so yeah I prefer Drenthe.

-- Wed Aug 22, 2012 12:36 pm --

3 goals, 5 assists last season in 21 appearances for Everton last season (AJ was 6 goals & 5 assists in 36, but most were as sub), has so far undermined his own career through typical Dutch arrogance. Attitude worse than AJ. Which is why he is a free agent.

-- Wed Aug 22, 2012 12:46 pm --

MJ is one of the biggest shames (as sad as Paul Lake if his decline wasn't so self-inflicted). Grew up in Urmston (like me), would have been one of the few players of the past to get into our current midfield.

Think he got the McLaren road car. That loud it sounded like the exhaust had gone when he was driving past me on the A34 to Wilmslow.
