The biggest thing in his favour, potentially, is his home grown status.

Then I’d favour persisting with O’Reilly and developing him for the midfield, even if he’s seemingly unsure of himself in there.

We're gonna have more than 4 clubs trained soon enough, depending who we keep around. Do agree Wharton being HG as well is a big plus the club definitely been tracking him awhile now

I wasn’t considering that criterion. Given their contracts, I can only see Carson leaving this summer. Others want a purge but I’m not convinced the club will want too much disruption.

After seeing Nico’s performance I think they’ll want another box to box type. Don’t think it’ll be Wharton.

They’ll roll with the CB’s for another season too imo so Stones and Ake count towards the HG

I’d have been on that train more had I not just seen how good Gonzalez will be for us.

I’d still potentially take a punt on him, but only if our other problem areas had been solved and we still had money to spend.
