Kovacic has been a decent stand in but is usually gassed by 70 minutes playing the role on his own & Pep doesn't seem to want to substitute O'Reilly in there, which is a shame as we will never really know if he's any different to Wharton if he had begun his career in the championship playing regularly.

Saying that if we sign Wharton & he can play alongside Gonzalez, in turn we would be able rotate Rodri more

If were losing Walker, Stones, Grealish as per the rumours, that's a lot of homegrown to replace. Pep seems to like to have a good core of natives in his teams/squads so I could see us looking for English talent this summer. He ticks all the boxes.

£70m plus imo mate. They hold an interest in Mcatee though so that may help
