I think it would be very difficult for Real to find space for him as a non EU player unless he’s entitled to an Irish (or other EU nation) passport. Both Bellingham and Gallagher have Irish passports which helped get their moves to Spain.

Real have Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr, Endrick and Valverde already.

It isn’t harsh on him - he’s firmly in the Nunes/Philips category of signings for me. Disastrous

And this is one of the things that makes European football uneven and adds to the reasons Spanish teams succeed.

They need to find a way to make these rules the same across all European countries ideally.

I don’t see him do more than run down cup de sacs. You say he’s a squad player he wouldn’t have made any of our squads prior to last year where we were already in decline. He couldn’t get a game at Chelsea is signing him was daft.

Would agree with this. If we’d been using him as cover with a fit Rodri he would have been a good squad player and hopefully that will be true next season. KDB and Gundogan are the main issues as we need creativity in that midfield and we lack it. No point waiting to rebuild or replace them we need to do it in the summer. Nunes has also added very little and would not shed a tear if we managed to move him on.
