My personal opinion is that he should not have worn that shirt regardless of the situation. He is paid a good salary by his employers and part of his role should be to represent the best interests of the club at all times - Any shirt without another clubs brand would not have been a problem so why take the risk? If you say that the emotion of the situation etc., to me that doesn't stack up. I presume he dressed himself.
Tribute or not it was at best ill-judged.

Quite frankly this is bullshit, those having a go at Ade are also attempting to take the moral high ground about his duty to the club etc., but its just that there moral reasoning is quite perverse considering the circumstances

Not attempting to take the moral high ground at all fella, i just felt and pointed it out, that players of his ilk are signed not just for their fottballing abilty, but also their marketabilty, especially in emerging markets that we wish to gain a foothold in.
Africa is such one place and whilst i have always stated how sorry i felt for him, it was a serious error in judgment on his part to wear the Arsenal top as he is paid to be an ambassador for City, to market us, not Arsenal and as a proffesional footballer he knows this full well. I would hazard a very strong guess that the powers that be at City have reminded him of those facts today as well given the press interview earlier that saw him in a City shirt.

I think after watching the new interview we should be less worried about his fashion sense and more worried about his mental state. The guy was shaking like a shitting dog and looked awful - not surprising after what he's been through - I think it may be a while before we see him again, longer than we all think.

right I really don't care if I get a warning for this, but yesterday when the thread about Ade wearing an Arse shirt emerged I really couldnt bring myself to read any of it after the initial OP's offal that spewed out creating it.... now to put it as succintly as possible, to call him a mercenary, slag him off etc after what he's been through, for wearing just a fukin top, basically those that did, YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF SMALL MINDED, PATHETIC FUKIN WANKERS, OK!!!!
