Adebayor charged (Merged)

Re: Breaking News. Adebayor charged with ...

I can live with him being banned for the stamp, in slow motion it does look really naughty. The celebration charge is bullshit though, if Arsenal fans weren't cunts he wouldn't have shown them up like he did...and you've gotta think about Henry, Chuckle, Tyson & the rest who've done as bad or worse to opposition fans.

Manchester City have been informed that Emmanuel Adebayor has been charged with violent conduct under the Fast-track procedure for this challenge on Robin van Persie during Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Arsenal, the automatic penalty that applies in this case is a three match suspension and an answer to the charge must be made by 6pm tomorrow, September 16, 2009.
Emmanuel Adebayor has also been charged with improper conduct for his goal celebration in the same fixture and has until September 30 to respond to that charge.

The club is considering its position in relation to both matters.
Right, so we only need to appeal the violent conduct charge at the moment. Let's focus on that, or at least get the fucking ban delayed.

What a joke!
How about Vidic when he punched Rodagella in the face a few weeks back.

And if Adebayor is banned for the celebration then all them Arsenal fans which kicked-off should be banned from football all together. He did provoke them, but that doesn't give them the right to attack stewards and try to hit Adebayor with missiles.
Punch? hahaha FFS!!

he should be facing a ban for his "stamp" but shouldn't be banned for his celebration, the arsenal fans got what they deserved.

Re: Breaking News. Adebayor charged with ...

Lets have a bit of perspective here guys.

He did stamp on him, and it is a red card deserving of a 3 match ban. The best course of action now is to take it on the chin, going off our head because other teams get away with it, may be accurate but it will make us look bitter and pathetic. At the end of the day, in isolation, the charge is fair.

The charge for improper conduct, is where the F.A have thrown the book at him to make an example of him. Again we could list many a time where these things are ignored by the F.A, but it wouldnt get us anywhere and there is no point.

We will come out stronger if we take it on the chin, Ade takes his ban, gets back, and does what he does best.

I would hope that City have been involved in some form of diplomacy with the FA to sort out a deal which would be acceptable to both parties. Something on the lines of we will bring charges, you appeal and we will not do anything till after the derby then how about a three game ban.
The FA save face and we get chance of some of our players getting fit in the meantime.

Why's there no explanation of how they can charge him for the celebration when the referee dealt with it at the time?

They are just bending the rules, Clattenburg will be "told" to say he charged Ade for excessive celebration and this charge is for Improper conduct. Twats, nothing more to describe them as really.

Ah, like he got to told to say he didn't see an incident he was looking straight at from about 3 yards. I guess that makes sense.

Re: Breaking News. Adebayor charged with ...

It would have been better if they had just come out and said 6 game ban. We all know its a joke and against there own rules its just dragging the whole thing out now. Its all about keeping it in the press and as much pressure on us as possible.
