And if Adebayor is banned for the celebration then all them Arsenal fans which kicked-off should be banned from football all together. He did provoke them, but that doesn't give them the right to attack stewards and try to hit Adebayor with missiles.

THE Football Association have hit Emmanuel Adebayor with two charges following his stormy performance in Manchester City's win over Arsenal on Saturday.

Adebayor is facing a three-match ban for violent conduct for the incident involving Robin van Persie, while the City striker is likely to face an additional punishment for the celebration that followed his goal in the 4-2 win.

Unless the Togo international can successfully argue his case, he is almost certain not to be available for City at least until their trip to Wigan on October 18.

“The Football Association today issued two charges against Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor following Saturday's Premier League fixture between Manchester City and Arsenal,” said a statement issued by the FA.

“Under the fast-track disciplinary process, Adebayor has been charged with violent conduct following an incident with Robin van Persie, which resulted in the Arsenal player receiving facial injuries.

“Referee Mark Clattenburg has advised the FA that he did not see this incident but has confirmed that had he done so, he would have sent Adebayor off for violent conduct. The player has until 6pm on Wednesday evening to respond to the charge.

“Adebayor has also been charged with improper conduct following his actions when turning and running the full length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Arsenal supporters after scoring.

“The Greater Manchester Police have written to The FA with their views on this incident. A separate date will now be arranged for a commission to consider Adebayor's goal celebration.”

Source MEN. So best case we loose him for a month. Really pisses me off he is on a hot streak this will wreak his form.

His few minutes of madness will now cost us dear.............bollocks

What can they give him for the celebration realistically. Has any other player ever got a match ban for celebrating on the field of play.

Its a joke the fa are taking no action over RVPs challenge, the arsenal fans rioting and assault + RVP celebration.

Right, so we only need to appeal the violent conduct charge at the moment. Let's focus on that, or at least get the fucking ban delayed.

It's a fast tracked charge, if we've got to appeal by 6pm Wednesday then they'll hear the appeal and rule on it WAY before Sunday. I think we need to accept that Adebayor is out of the derby, the Fulham Cup game AND the West Ham league game. "Coincidentally" that means the next game is AFTER 30th September so, when they decide to ban him for the celebration, they can roll his ban on and make him miss Villa away and, probably, Wigan away and the Fulham league game too.

Lets have a bit of perspective here guys.

He did stamp on him, and it is a red card deserving of a 3 match ban. The best course of action now is to take it on the chin, going off our head because other teams get away with it, may be accurate but it will make us look bitter and pathetic. At the end of the day, in isolation, the charge is fair.

The charge for improper conduct, is where the F.A have thrown the book at him to make an example of him. Again we could list many a time where these things are ignored by the F.A, but it wouldnt get us anywhere and there is no point.

We will come out stronger if we take it on the chin, Ade takes his ban, gets back, and does what he does best.

By my reckoning a stamp would involve the straightening of the knee in order to exert a downward force,failure to do so would not allow a downward pressure, try it! Now watch the video and you will see there is no attempt to do this, the connection was clear but the fact is it cannot be shown there is a deliberate intent, which could be shown if there had been a straightening of the knee.
