Adebayor charged (Merged)

Re: Breaking News. Adebayor charged with ...

Before even getting to the substance, one always looks to procedural flaws. If you can't find any, then (alas) you move to substance.

Anyway...City ought to announce their intention to call witnesses for the defense that require time to travel to the U.K. and familiarize themselves with the matter at hand, people who are schooled in human motion. City need more time to study the charge and prepare a defence. Fundamental fairness requires the defendent has sufficient time to prepare a defence to the charges. Even those City fans who believe him guilty must agree he is entitled to prepare a full defence and to insist the prosecution prove their case.

"The School of Kinesiology students study a wide variety of biological and social science
concepts as they apply the causes and consequences of human movement. The study of
movement may include the study of biochemistry, psychology, neurophysiology,
sociology, dynamic systems of movement, business and marketing concepts, the
mechanics of motion, the pedagogy of physical education, health and wellness, injury
prevention and rehabilitation."

Come on City, make them prove their case.

Re: Mark Clattenburg = Dishonest

I can reach no other conclusion other than he is a dishonest ref.

Shame, used to like him but I can't stand for that in someone supposed to uphold the rules of the game with integrity and honesty.

Re: Mark Clattenburg = Dishonest

or he pushed himself so as to be on the good side of the people who pulls his strings.

Dont know why we are all complaining.....he was bound to be charged, and if the shoe was on the other foot we'd be crying out for a ban.

But as in Eduardo's case with UEFA, if the FA cant 'prove' it was intentional then surely they cant ban him. Im sure that wont be the case though.

because it was waved on in the field of play, and also the media coined the 'stamp' fad which is evidently not a stamp but every other robots with corrupt souls took it as word from god.

But that's the point, it wasnt waved on.....RVP's tackle was waved on. Clearly Clattenburg didnt see the alleged stamp.

Sure, I support Ade and hope he doesnt get a ban, but in IMO it was a stamp. I thought that as soon as I saw it on TV. The 'snap' action when planting his foot is the give away.
As for the celebration, receiving a ban for that would be bollocks because he'd already been carded for it. I just dont think there's much hope on the violent conduct charge..

Re: Mark Clattenburg = Dishonest

Then if City prove this surely we can bring the FA up on corrupt charges, could you imagine if it could be proven but we akk know it will be in a book in 10 years time

Burn you are wrong, Clattenburg played the advantage to Arsenals favour not ours, he saw the coming together and deemed it nothing the lying shitbag.

As mentioned in another thread on the BArton/Etuhu incident it doesn't matter.

If he saw the coming together of the players, the FA rules state that no further action can take place. He claims not to have seen the coming together of players, yet he apparently waved play on. Doesn't sound right to me.

An FA spokesman said: "The Football Association can only take action in the case of incidents that are not seen by officials.

"Whilst it is clear that the officials did not see the full extent of the incident, they did see players coming together and to take any further action would be tantamount to re-refereeing the game and this would be contrary to the laws of the game."
