If Adebayor is found guilty of violent conduct he will be handed a three-match ban that would result in him missing Sunday's derby against Manchester United and that suspension could be increased if he is also found guilty of improper conduct.

Adebayor has until 6pm on Wednesday to respond to the charge, but it looks almost certain he will be handed a three-match ban with the charge of improper conduct to be heard at a later date.

Re: Congratulations Arsenal.

facts:

van persie is a snivelling little shit who won't get reprimanded in any way for his celebration or challenge on Ade.

what goes around comes around.

Ade shouldn't have stamped on his face and will get banned- whether we like it or not

he should have celebrated in the way he did. he shouldn't be punished for it but will be.

the FA are unbelievably inconsistent and corrupt. they seem to make the rules up as they go along.

we beat arsenal 4-2- a fact that seems to have conveniently got lost in all the furore- and nothing will change that or get them their 3 points back that we took off them.

this recent controversy and the after effects will hopefully galvanise and determine the team to also take their champions league spot off them.

so, in a nutshell- fuck 'em.

He's out of this derby in all probability, but if Tevez scored in the home derby later on this season and in celebration, ran 50 yards and drop-kicked Bacon Face to the ground and recieved a lifetime ban from football, would you forgive him? This is hypothetical of course... well... at least i think it is!

I reckon i could forgive him, I would expect a twice lifesize monument of it outside COMS though.

Re: ade ban

It's a fast track system for the violent conduct charge he has until 6pm wednesday 16-9-09 to answer the charge admit guilt or challenge the charge. The FA will make their desicion on thursday.

It's a bit of a kangaroo court as if he admits guilt he will receive the punishment 95% sure it will be 4 game ban and proberly £10,000 fine, if he challenges the charge it doesn't add anytime they still decide Thursday 17-9-09 and he will proberly get a bigger ban for challenging the charge.

Either way he is out for minimum 3 games more likley 4 but could be 5-6 if he challenges the charge.

The improper conduct will not be for approx 3-6 months but he can expect another ban when the charges are heard.

Should do that in every game.
It'd be a bit of a stretch for the lads to run all the way to the Stretford End if we score at Anfield.
They could get a lift to Stretford maybe? It'd be pretty funny! The rags would be in the middle of a game, and our lads come pouring out of the tunnel and do Adebayor slides infront of the prawn munchers, with their cocks out. Then disappear back down the tunnel again.

Re: Breaking News. Adebayor charged with ...

to be fair, (to the fa) the fact we have until sept 30th for the improper conduct (celebration) charge means that the fa can hand out a fine rather than a ban (seemingly according to gutter press soft punishment) and let it go a bit more under the radar as the fuss will of died down.

Hopefully rooney does something stupid tonight.

Re: Lets show some dignity!

Yes with dignity and integrity i.e. we should challenge the FA charge about Ade's allegedly violent conduct. I will repeat here what I've posted in another thread if its OK with the mods.

Why Video Evidence can sometimes be misleading.

RVP stated that "I, too, have made hard and sometimes mistimed challenges but never with the intention of hurting an opponent."

"I was trying to kick the ball," Adebayor told Sky Sports after the match. "I see him tackling and I don't have time to take my feet back

because I'm trying to kick the ball.

Both of them make mistimed plays. One a reckless challenge the other a mistimed kick. Both of them said there were no intent to injure

anybody.

In defense of Ade he had to evade a two-legged lunge, which he was successful, but at the same time making an awkward attempt to

kick the ball. It just happened the ball rolled faster than Pursy's head. Now this happened all in milliseconds which to the naked eye looks an innocous but mistimed kick.

Of course if we were to splitfame in slo mo it looks like Ade was intentionally kicking Pursy's head.

C'mon guys see it in real time! In the context of human reactions and capabilities.

I would suggest Ade had more time to reflect and to change his course of action for his legendary run than to retract his kick ( at the same

time evading an injury reckless tackle).

If City were to mount a challenge they should include a Physicist/Scientist/Accident specialists.

Remember in most accidents cars/moving projectiles/soccer balls are faster than moving human bodies or human reactions to avoid

collisions

If we were to split frame in slo mo we could say the some innocent drivers could have avoided a lot of accidents but judged guilty

because he had time to change the course of action.

Its very disingenous of some folks to use video to foist this 'sleight of eye trick' on the public.

IMHO City should mount a legal challenge.

Remember Persie had more time to reflect on making a 2-legged lunge than Ade on evading the tackle and kicking the ball at the same time.

Look Dudu's ban was rescinded. Why? Because the video evidence cannot conclusively show the intent that he was diving to deceive the referee.

Would it be wrong

When we score at the Stretford End:

would it be wrong to run like Adebayor did the length of the pitch and end up mimicking his celebration in front of our OWN fans?

If so, on what basis could we be charged?
