Adebayor charged (Merged)

Re: ade deserves a ban

What really pisses me off is the high fives and the snide comments about the outcome of the ban by the arese fans. They seemed to have taken great pleasure in the outcome and see it has some sort of triumph. Just seen a blog by them and they're saying what a great day it's been with Ade getting banned and Eduardo ban being overturned.

I used to have a lot of time for Arsenal has a club, but not anymore.

Re: ade deserves a ban

I had the displeasure of standing within ear shot of the arseholes on Sat in 111, 50% didnt turn up to support Arsenal they turned up to abuse Ade. I havent heard shit like that since the 80s hence the Bananas that were thrown. They got what they deserved.
As for the "stamp", RVP could of caused Ade serious injury.

What form does the appeal take?

Is it like a trial, where witnesses come forward, even so-called expert witnesses, who can be cross-examined if necessary?

Or is it a situation where the club and Adebayor are only allowed to make written representations beforehand.

How many people of the FA board make up a disciplinary panel and who are they? Is the concept of vested interest recognised?

Will they be seeing video evidence in real time, or frame by frame?

Given the absolute lack of natural justice in anything we have seen thus far it would not surprise me if it were written representations only. In which case it's over before it starts.

It will be interesting to see what form the appeal takes. I would like Clattenberg to appear to watch the video and explain again how he "didn't see the incident".

I believe that neither players/clubs and the FA are entitled to have legal representation, so I expect the real debate will be minimal. More a case of come to London so we can tell you what punishment we want to give you.

If there is to be an appeal, it will be heard this week, rejected, and Ade's ban doubled, all before the weekend. We should not appeal. It will make things worse. He'll get a 3 match ban and then possibly another ban later on in the year for the celebration. We should accept it and move on. He'll miss the rags game, Fulham Cup game, and West Ham. Will be back for Villa away... hopefully!
If the ban is doubled for an unsuccessful appeal, why didn't we appeal Thatcher's ban?

sorry, but the lad deserves a ban, when he ran the length of the pitch to antagonise the arsenal fans a steward or a police officer or even a child could of been seriously injured and rather than defending his actions the club should discipline him as well, fortunately no one was seriously injured but what he did was idiotic.

he has certainly derailed our progress for a week or so.

Yes, and if out for a few weeks will he still be 'on a roll'? TBH i'd be a bit pissed off if I was Hughes.
