Adebayor on the bench?

Hughes has stated twice in the build up the West Ham game that he wants to give Bellers a game off, but due to Ade ban and the game being against an ex-club he would play v West Ham.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/mancity/6238780/Craig-Bellamy-desperate-to-start-against-former-club-West-Ham-says-Mark-Hughes.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... ughes.html</a>

With long-term concerns over the Welshman's ability to play back-to-back games due to a history of knee problems, Hughes admits he is reluctant to over-work Bellamy.

But the City manager concedes that Bellamy, who left West Ham for Eastlands in a £10m move in January, is desperate to face his former club.

Hughes said: "It's been a big week for Craig and I don't like playing him three times in a week, but he's really looking forward to it. He loves to play against his former clubs. He had a great time at West Ham and has a lot of respect for Gianfranco Zola and everybody at the club. He gives us advice all the time about playing his former clubs."

Bellamy to get a "rest" v Villa, that's the reason we have got a squad with lots of options!!!

Seeing as alot of people like to pick the team on current form where does Adebayor fit into next Monday as surely he can't replace the on fire Tevez and Bellamy? Does he go on the bench? Does he shove Bellamy to the left? but then you can't dislodge Petrov as he is on fire aswell.

What will happen?
If you believe the rumour mill he'll get a 1 game ban tomorrow so he won't even be on the bech against Villa

Ade must be in as soon as he's available, but Petrov MUST NOT be dropped to make way for him. His crosses are invaluable to us and with the big lad in the middle they'll be even more important. We do have other options, depending on form at the time that he comes back. Bellamy must play if he wants to - according to how his knees feel. Tevez, too.

They are all EFFECTIVE players and that is what counts. Adebayor won't get back in because he's a big name, and neither should anyone else.

"Adebayor on the bench" is probably the worst suggestion I've heard! We're fucking unstoppable with Ade in the side, he scores goals and saves us from conceding on the goalline! Get Ade in immediately against Villa and give Bellers/Tevez a rest, whoever needs it the most.

why the petrov must not be droped ? sorry but i dont see him as being on fire !! 1 half decent game against a bad team . he miss controled the ball for the first goal and got lucky the deffender was crap and he got a goal from a freekick it was a good one. but dont see him as being on fire ade back in no messin????

If we play 4 -5-1 / 4/3/3/ with Ade Bellamy and Tevez. with DeJ Barry and Ireland if fit in the middle Bellers and Tevez will work hard out wide. If villa want to attack ourflanks they will certainly leave spaces for us to attack.

This is a proper test - a game which the top 4 would expect to win and a game a year ago we would have been happy with a point. If we have serious ambitions we now need to beat the Tott, Everton and Villa type teams home and away.

We should find out Thursday that he has been fined and warned as to his future conduct. That then means he can play Monday and assuming those who played V WHU are all fit, I would not be suprised if Petrov was sat on the bench. Need workers against AV, can't have anyone in the side who is not prepared to put sweat on the shirt
