Adebayor to Spurs

We will not be paying a single penny of Adebayor's loan deal to Spurs... well that's what I'd been told in no uncertain terms!

;-))

Let's say he is on 160k/week.

We loaned him out until end of June. Thats 40 weeks from now.

They pay half of his wage AND pay 3 m loan fee.
40 times 80k= about 3.2 m pounds.

2+2=4

They get Ade for 160k/week and it is only 40 weeks. So in all it is around 6-6.5 million pounds.
It is cheap for them for a striker like Ade and we dont spend 6 m for someone who is not even in the squad. Win-win maybe. Hopefully they still will struggle for top 4 but Ade scores a lot and makes his market price higher. Next summer we face the same problem, but if he runs a good season it is good for him and us (and Spurs.)
If he has a bad season he will come back and no teams will want him not even teams like Spurs.

agreed; he is clearly not welcome at the club so if we cannot sell him then best to loan him, which gets his wages paid and gets us a loan fee, and if he does well then we may get a fee for him in a year's time, makes sense to me. And IF we are not well above spurs this season then Bobby knows he will have failed and sacked anyway, so it is a win, win, win situation

the guy did not wrong here,u don't understand him and would never do too.just a shame everybody believes what they say in the papers now of days he never said a profane word to the club or support and yet some of us come in here to chatized some one who gives is best for the club.all i know was is,he had problems with Mancini and not the club or support ok.

No, I do not understand him. However, I do understand that he did not, in any way, give his best for the club.

That makes no sense to me, why ask for a loan fee but they don't pay all of his wages, surely it would jsut make sense to get them to pay all of his wages which would be the same outlay for them.

the reason a loan fee is paid is so that the loaning club cannot pull the rug from under the club that has taken the player on loan .

say adi started the season on fire bans in 10 in 10 games city could say hey up we want him back and spurs would have no option , witha loan fee paid we cant do that , equally with a loan fee paid if ady does his usual shit and goes walk about , spurs cant send him back to us and cancel the loan , its is contractualy binding for both parties

will anybody be sad to see ade leave???

About as sad as when a turd leaves my arse. He's never really been committed while he's been here and as funny as his sprint up the pitch and slide in front of the Arsenal fans was, it showed a huge lack of respect to us. He was more concerned with gloating to the gooners than celebrating with us.

Unplayable on his day but unfortunately, those days are few and far between.

Time for him to go.

we need him off our pay role as he will not play for us again. if someone is willing to sign him all well and good. if not send him out on lone and make the club pay his wages. dont care home or abroad. blackburn are trying to sign big names lol send him to the chicken farmers.
Perhaps I heard wrong but reports are (at least initially) we're paying 50% of his wages.
His wages don't count towards FFP but a loan fee would count as income.

Hope this clears things up

I don't understand why we didn't just give him to Real Madrid for free, rather than give him to Spurs AND PAY FOR IT .... utterly stupid.

Yeah, I will to be honest. Top footballer, and a great guy.

Shame so many people choose to treat him like a twat. Guess the manager set the trend though...

There's a gaping hole in that logic which I won't bother pointing out...
