Best for me was the pre-protesters Greenham Common. Thunderbirds, Huey, Tarhe, Starfighter, Talon, Thunderchief and so on. Burgers, ribs, root beer? all for a few bob.
Was at Duxford when the P38 crashed, read in the paper next day one of the engines bounced for over a mile before wiping out private aircraft at the far end of the airfield.
The Vulcan at Barton was a never-to-be-forgotten sight, same with the Harrier at Woodford nodding to the crowd.

Been to the last few air shows in sunderland and it was very good believe its in July this year well worth a look

barton used to be ok,i`ll never forget an F1-11 coming from ringway that buzzed the crowd,came from behind everyone and caught everybody off guard..

you sure it wasn't the Mosquito, the inquest blamed icing in the carburettors which Rolls-Royce had issued a warning/fix for but they had not been carried out
