looking at what we know you are probably right
after all:
we are getting 1100 tickets less for Ajax
we only have seven weeks to organise ourselves instead of 18 days
you can get to Amsterdam by train and ferry for circa £70, Madrid a lot more expensive
you can get a coach direct for £69
and the organised tours are all much cheaper

can't imagine for one minute why the demand for this game would be higher than Madrid?

I was unaware the allocation will be that poor, how sure are you of those figures?

And re the expense, Madrid is more expensive that's a given, but if you know of travel by train or ferry for £70 to Amsterdam and organised trips even cheaper I'd like to know about them.
mate of mind has organised a trip driving to Newcastle, ferry across (I haven't a clue where to) and arriving at Amsterdam about lunch-time match day for £75 a head, and i'm sure he said it included a night in Amsterdam as well
me, I'm flying, at £70 a piece

Yeah but those prices are an exception aren't they? Lets be honest mate.

I'm flying for £100 and those are by far the cheapest I could find the day after the fixtures were announced.

How sure are you our allocation will be a poor one?

first of all learn a lesson

book as soon as the fixtures are released! get to go for less
although my mate is a bit on the slow side and booked his trip on Wednesday, so i wouldn't say it was an exception.
and there is a regular coach service for £69

when the scum played there last year they got 2600 tickets

You must have been right on it the minute it was announced! Haha.

I was told by a mate that a rag he knew paid £12 on a coach to the Dam, but it took 3 days to get there. Swings and roundabouts!

2600 would be decent, I still think points would go reasonably low.

I got flights for £65 return from Manc, I was on the button :p Probably took me 3 mins to book as soon as the dates were confirmed on the UEFA site.

The prices are out there like that but you have to lose the nerves and rush through the form.

Madrid nearly made me pass out though. Had to book for 4 and the UEFA site and Sky had it down for the 19th. But I had the official UEFA PDF of fixtures and went off that. All turned out well but for an hour after my heart was going ten to the dozen as thought I'd fucked up. Got those for £110 return from Liverpool.

*** After two tickets for Ajax away***

As a gesture of goodwill you can use my season card (treat mate or family member) for the Swansea game on Saturday 27th October - 5.30pm or the Sunderland game on Saturday 6th October - 12.45pm.

My seat is in block 119.

Cheers

How do people know we are getting 1100 fewer tickets for ajax

i thought united got 2950 which is 650 less could be wrong though
I could be mistaken, but I'm sure a poster said they got 2650 last year, but that could be wrong too
We'll know soon enough

I also thought they got 3000 but like you say we'll soon find out?

They got 2650 of the cheaper tickets and 200 expensive seats. This always happens at Euro aways although I think our corporate department takes the expensive ones.

Going to be like gold dust, these. I have 6200 points but my mate is way down the list. Anyone offering help, I'll be very grateful!!!
