Ajax Vs City CL Post Game Discussion Thread

Poor performance from all involved - it happens.

No benefit whatsoever from undermining the manager, slagging off the players etc....

Great teams are forged in adversity so learn from it, move on, and play the rest of the season like Champions.
it wud be acceptable if the 'poor performance' had occurred in a match of no consequence....everyone knew that this was a must win game and the players just didn't turn up for this game at all...it was just so disappointing

Basically there's a casm in stature and quality between us and the teams we're trying to beat and there's nothing we can do to change that right now.

The likes of Milner, Lescott, Barry, Dzeko, Kolarov and Rodwell are not the type of players required to compete in the Champions League. I think Dzeko is the only player I've listed that could get in to Bayern Munich's team or Real Madrid's team. They're Premier League quality for sure but they cannot take us to the next level - they're the Bellamy, Given and Onuohas of this current set of players. We might love them dearly but we need another upgrade before we can have a good season in Europe.

So you guys really think that it's not Mancini's problem?

He sure did win us premier league title, but if city wanna make accomplishment in CL he needs to go.

How many years you guys gonna give to Mancini to learn how to play CL before you guys lose patience and yell for firing him?

Hey soft boy you`ve just shot yourself in the foot you Raggy twat !!!
How the fuck can you use words like these and pretend to be a Blue ??

I think we are entitled to a moan. That performance was flat. No urgency at all, their passing was precise. Their players seemed to work with eachother better, which showed in the precision of their passes and possession. I think its unfair to say that the ajax players wanted it more. I think as proffessional and competitive people players naturally want to beat the oppossing men, but it comes across as that. Were not going to win the champions league, based on these performances in the competition, I can stomach that aslong as we continue our winning form in the premier league.

Good post

Calm down on your posts....Kolarov has probably been our best Champion's League Player. And judging Rodwell is a bit unfair given his age/position.

Facts are facts and Mancini's european record is poor,

Mancini`s "Poor" record is winning 23 out of 49 games.
Wenger 22 out of his first 49
Ferguson 24 out of his first 49

It takes 3-5 years to build a team capable of taking on the best in europe, Roberto has had his own players together for how long ?, nor can you judge him over the last two entries into the chumpions league without taking into consideration that we have been drawn in the toughest group both times

He has won the FA cup and title already while smashing records that have stood for years, including thrashing red shite on their own midden 1-6.............Those are the facts you need to pay attention to.

I like this man. This is good information!

how many years did it take wenger and ferguson to reach 49 games ? i dont know im just thinking they lost after getting teams out of the group stages

For what he's done so far he's got at least 2 trophy-less seasons for me and if we're consistently picking up Premier League titles and FA Cups then I'd say I'd only really be worried about the Champions League if we haven't reached at least a quarter final within 5 years and a final within 10.

I don't really understand the fuss. I'd rather lose Champions League games than Premier League games, we've got a chance of winning the Premier League but if anyone thinks we can consistently beat the likes of Bayern, Madrid, Barca, Juventus, etc just yet then they're kidding themselves.
