It pisses me off that my TV License goes towards his wages. I bet most other football forums has a similar distaste for the man, perhaps we should all band together and send in complaints to the BBC? I'd love for them to have to get a new pundit, someone who has played in the last decade.

Once upon a time, Hansen, like many, had a soft spot for City but then of course it was easy to like us as the perennial underachievers. For me, as MOTD’s anchor pundit, it’s beyond a joke how this halfwit critiques our performances. Last night..

We created a Prem record with 20 home wins on the bounce
We showed character and spirit to get the result
We were rarely troubled by in-form Chelsea.
Mancini played a blinder by bringing on Barry for Balo at HT
Nasri had a great game
Zaba was immense
etc..etc..

Any or all of the above deserved a decent appraisal instead of which, Hansen declares us as “lucky” for the pen given, despite them scoring from a deflected goal!! WTF!!? And then, just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse…. Balotelli! He’s such a media whore is our “coloured” friend aint he Alan? Why? Precisely because media cock sniffs like you refuse to talk about anuthing else! I accept Balo could do more, work harder and so on, but last night he was off the pace and got subbed. End of. No story. Move along.
Rememeber earlier in the season when he declared: “Balotelli? You either love him or hate him” The word hate was said with such empahisis, and with such vitriol it wasn’t hard to see which side of the marmite fence he sits on.

As for our “capitulation”… isn’t Spurs record of 3 losses and a draw the very definition of capitulation??? Prior to this, Spuds were still in the title race!!

Whoever gets the gig as next DG of the BBC, we can only hope and pray that they have the balls to fire this twat.

not sure if already mentioned on here, though did anyone hear hansen's busom buddy mark Laurenson on radio 5 on the way back from the match?

Again he was slagging balotelli off for being ineffective - said something along the lines of "super-mario, or as it should be stupid-mario" or similar - can't recall the exact words now but was just ridiculous..... bitter bitter bitter wankers.

No idea. I agree that he surpassed himself last night. If anything, I would have thought he might have a soft spot for us given the Liverpool team he played in regularly thrashed us in the 80's.

I think this is it tbh.

City fans of a certain vintage will remember Liverpool teams coming to Maine Road from the late seventies to the late eighties and regularly knocking between three and five goals in, often without reply. I think the big pitch enabled them to demonstrate their superior technique and fitness.

For that, and other obvious reasons, he would have viewed our club as a bit of a joke - I imagine they used to banter in the Liverpool dressing room about what a shit club we were.

He is clearly having great difficulty reconciling that perception he had of us as a club with the reality of what confronts him today.

His thinly veiled contempt for us is a disgrace, and while I am one of the last on here to see an agenda, there is no doubt that this man has an irrational hatred for our club. Would he ever deliver in that sneering tone the same shite he spewed last night about us being lucky - if united had won like that against Chelsea? Not a fucking chance - he would have eulogised about how winning games like that was the hallmark of champions.

There are lots of reasons to want to win the title - but ramming it down that ****'s throat is rapidly moving up my list. I want his "capitulation" comment to haunt him as much as his equally absurd comment about "kids".

He is another reason why a part of me wants Liverpool to fail more than any other club.
