Aleix Garcia

From page 1........i strongly suspect TRWFC had watched exactly zero Villareal youth games.

Or he's not watched any City games, either way; complete bullshitter.

Edit: Benefit of the doubt, looks like he was pissing around.

thanks for posting that. I thought at the time he played well but watching that I'm so impressed by his calmness on the ball and range of pass. His 'assist' was very nice too. Perfectly weighted. I noticed how much our senior midfield passed to him as well which is a great sign. I'm sure he will make the first team squad this season with displays like that.
Just watched that, too. Really, really impressive. Must play a bit for the first team this season, surely? How old is he?

Not long turned 19 but plays with a much wiser head, like all of the Spanish lads at the CFA he seems a really likeable humble lad too.

Looked superb in the pre season games so far. Excellent use of the ball, just keeps it moving with a simple pass and looks to take it back again. Much like yaya has done for us so far. Interesting to see if he is used by Pep in the early games whilst we're waiting for everyone to get up to speed. I hope he gets some game time.

We should bump this thread. Already a star on the ball and generally when we have the possession. I guess he needs to learn positional defensive stuff and things like that, but that's basically Pep's expertive. The absolute dream would be if he could become the same sort of asset as Busquets is to Barcelona, who was of course integrated to the first team by the man himself.
Admittedly I haven't seen too much of him barring the Chelsea game and this pre season, but I think his comparison is more in line with Xavi than busquets. I don't see him having the physicality to be the holding mid but the way he he moves the ball about effortlessly reminded me of Xavi. Maybe dinho behind him in the pivot/dm role?

He's like Kroos stylistically. But he has a bit more defensive edge about him, it just might take a while to show up as it did when he joined the u21's.

I'm sure Guardiola would be teaching him all about reading the game defensively though, and that's most of the job as a pivot - just being in the right place at the right time.

Either way it looks like he has a very bright future. Pep couldn't have come at a better time for his development.

I really hope that Pep will integrate him into the first team and utilize him this season; I think he is ready to be in the first team.

I have been impressed by him, last year; way more than Manu Garcia. It will be exciting to watch him develop under Pep.
