Alex Sandro

Totally agree with this. He certainly doesn't sound like a player pressing for a move away

He obviously hasnt come out and said that he wants to move, however it seems that we have initiated talks with Juve and the feedback is that they would sell at the right price. Italian press have recently said that they have already looked at a possible replacement. And as Juve have shown before, they do let big players go but they have the pedigree to find a very good replacement which doesn't reduce the quality of the team.

:-)

Or maybe just hire the Porto scouts and buy anyone they like?!

That would be a good idea. That's what Shakhtar Donetsk did, they signed Porto's chief scout and they've bringing all those good Brazilians.

Anyway, I'm down with whoever Pep wants and thinks is best for us. If we want to be the best and challenge teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona, we must sign the best players.

I'd love Sandro but £50m? £50m for a fullback? £50m!!!!!?!?

lol no.

You don't think fullback is an important player in a team? A good fullback is both a defender and an offensive player. Just watch Real Madrid and Juventus against Bayern, Barcelona, Atletico, Monaco and see how good their fullbacks are.

Pep doesn't want a team that can challenge top spots in the Premier league, he wants a team that can win the league and the CL. For that we need players who are or can become one of the best in every position, not players who are "good enough".

Saying that, I'm also down with other young players if Pep thinks they can develop into world beaters.

Alex Sandro and Kyle Walker would improve us significantly in our weakest area. Don't care if it's £85m or more. What's the point in being rich if we don't use it?

And if we sign Kolasinac on a free, then we would have 3 solid fullbacks on both sides for that much. Kolasinac is 23 years old, he could be a good back up for rotation. Better come to us than go to Arse or Chelsea.

I'm also down with breaking the transfer record on the best centre half we can get, be it VVD or Bonucci. We have the money now, we have the best manager, so we should get the best players in defence, midfield, attack and go for all trophies.

Would be great, but I still don't buy it. Don't see the logic for Juve to move him or for Sandro to even want to move.

People were definitely not in love with Kolarov when we were linked to him in 2015.
Yes they were. He and Sterling had started the season well together and everyone was blaming Kolarov's previous defensive woes on Silva's lack of cover.

For about 3 weeks they worked well together, after a summer when everyone wanted Kolarov gone.

And everyone was seduced by those three weeks, during which time the Sandro rumours surfaced.
