I quite like Boris. I know hes a polarising character and he has a lot of weaknesses but at least he is a leader, who isnt afraid to make a decision, eg. Brexit, Ukraine, etc and would actual try to lead us. I think its inevitable that Labour will get in next time but i'd rather have someone who'll just get on with it for the time being.

He makes decisions but has terrible judgement so is inevitably almost always wrong - his best flair if for distraction - Problems in NI? Quick propose a bridge and waste money on a feasibility study. Long queues of lorries in Kent? Quick commandeer some land and build huge lorry parks where we can hide the evidence..........They don't neem toilets or washing facilities - Jonny Foreigner reeks of garlic anyway.

Johnson, if that is who you think will have won it by Monday is the reason all the weirdos and gobshites are there
No, I think that Sunak will win it, and that’s why I think it’s an opportunity to have a major clear-out of all the dross.

However, if Johnson were in fact to win (I would much prefer it if he didn’t), then it would still be interesting to see how he plays it second time around. Much of the criticism levelled at him during his time as PM was aimed at how No 10 was being run - chaotically by all accounts - so he could move to have a high profile chief of staff who will effectively run everything for him.

Is Johnson capable of maintaining order and discipline in his life? I suspect not, but he’ll have promised a great deal to drum up his 100 MPs.

For all the talk of him getting on with it, that proved impossible to do because he became bogged down in a moral marsh that was of his own making and the coffers are empty. He is big on airy fairy slogans and making English people feel more confident in themselves, but those and their like have plunged the country into the mother of all financial holes, so reappointing him would just compound the disaster.

Was watching ITV racing this afternoon, and never being one to resist an e.w punt on a standout name, my eyes were drawn to The Big Dog at 18/1 in the Munster National.

Needless to say he got up on the line to deny what looked the likely winner, somewhat ironically named 'Ain't That A Shame'.

Not sure what any of this means because unlike the Eton mess, the equine 'big dog' was gelded at an early age to remain useful.

Even if sunak wins there is still an extremist right wing cabal within the party who thought they had won when they installed the appalling truss woman, who are not just going to melt away and lick their wounds. They will want revenge.
The fight is still on and hopefully will end terminally for the tories.

I think Truss fucked up that much that she has weakened the lunatic fringe and strengthened the "normal" tory MPs.

Sunak will have the power to do what he wants because of the Truss fuck up.

He is a lucky bastard because if he had followed Johnson he would have been under enormous pressure to keep the loins down.

I hate the Tories, but the best thing for the country is for Sunak to get in and calm everything down for a year or so.

the problem with that sentiment is where exactly would he lead us too?
Oblivion? off a cliff? Straight to hell?

Does polarising mean can't stand the lying, cheating, corrupt, morally deficient ****?

Just get on with it and lead?

The laziest, most absent, most uninformed, most deceitful prime minister in the long history of this country?

And you are still so ill informed and easily conned by a bit of rabble rousing that you bizarrely view him ad the total opposite of his record?

FFS, man. What are you drinking?

You’re right up to a point.
The loony right have been working long and hard for the recently failed truss coup. I just feel that they will not be prepared to take failure lying down.
And I don’t think they really care about the Tory party - that was just a vehicle for their ambition.
They’ll tear it apart if it suits them.
