Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

I want to punch him
I’ve never been a violent person but in the lying fraud’s case I am prepared to make an exception.
Then I have to think that he has a psychiatric condition, where he really can’t tell the difference between right and wrong and is completely amoral, and should be helped.
Then I think ‘no, I want to punch him’!

Nailed it in one

At first I just thought "Johnson lied" wasn't much of a story, but "Johnson lied to the guy investigating a potential breach of the ministerial code" is a bit different.

On the balance of probability, I'd say the Colston Four had a better case than Johnson. Why doesn't Lord Geidt think he's guilty? Does he need to see Johnson rolling his conscience into a watery tomb?

I often forget asking people for lots of money, but then I ask a lot of people...

Never gonna happen. Why? Forget the 97 - it would impose a duty of candour on all public bodies - Johnson and the Tories wouldn't last 30 minutes......."what? we brought in a law that means we cannot tell lies? By Law !!?? Suella needs to change that law "

There’s already a duty of candour in the health service. It’s not so hard, I’m involved in a very small way doing occasional reports and investigations and preparing notes for release.

I don’t think a Dury of candour trumps some peoples natural inclination to lie and some institutions natural instinct to obfuscate and cover up though. You would only have the word of the perennial liar that he wasn’t lying
