Guess Barca played him wrongly.

Great player, just not suited to barca . For me one of the best bit of business we can make. He is not a classic winger but with silva and him behind kun in a 4-3-2-1 we can be unstoppable domestically and a real force in europe. We can also sign him for a cut price, like 16-18 million. He was really special at udinese. I want us to spend wise and not go out and spend crazy money for cavani or falcao (plus i don't think we need a striker with this system, which for me is the best system we can play with the acquisition of a young talented midfielder like pedro obiang). I would be a lot happier if we get alexis for 18 million than cavani for 55).

Napoli join Sanchez queue

Serie A side Napoli will provide Juventus with some competition on the transfer market for Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez.

The Turin giants have been paired with the Chilean international given his uncertain future at the Camp Nou.

Already up against some of Europe’s giants in the hunt for the forward’s signature, it seems they will also have a rival in the Azzurri.

The Stadio San Paolo outfit may have some substantial funds to play with on the transfer market if they sell Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan international has a €63m release clause inserted into his current contract.

Napoli and Juventus met on Friday night in Serie A. The 1-1 draw meant that leaders Juventus maintained their six-point lead over the second-placed Naples side.

Cavani replacement ?

Part of me wants this guy because he'd offer us a lot but can't help but think he had his chance. I Don't want us looking like second choice to players around Europe.

How close were we to signing him though?
Besides who can blame him going to Barca?

If he's available and at a good price I think we should go back in for him. He isn't the first player to suffer at Barca so who's to say he won't be a success in the Prem?

To me he has the physical attributes and technical skill to make it.

I wonder if Txiki would rather if possible sign Gerard Deulofeu though?

Hold nothing against him going to Barca. Mancini clearly likes him, if Barca want to sell then they'd do well to include us in their list of potential buyers. Who else could give then an offer close to what they paid?

Also just saw this, a reminder that he's not a bad player at all:

In recognition of his achievements he was named the world's most promising youngster of the 2011 season, by the users of FIFA.com, where users had to choose between Sánchez, Gareth Bale, Javier Pastore, Ganso and Neymar in a poll
