Txiki is the fucking clown

Summer plans unravelling again, finding out your transfer targets aren't coming by them turning up to sign for someone else
And how exactly is he supposed to force Arsenal to sell him to us? Oh wait, I forgot that being a broken record about Txiki is kind of your thing. Apologies

You have to wonder what bug has crawled up psg's ass.

You could argue that they're going after talent but taking Alves and trying to take Sanchez and neymar all in this window, certainly seems like they're having a go at us

lol thats a weird argument, they are also a footballing giant and want to win at any cost. If I were PSG, I would do exactly what they are doing. Alas, we are on a collision course with them. They came out on top wrt Alves. What happens with Sanchez is yet to be seen. Reluctance of Arsenal to sell him to a rival and with PSG interested, it may be hard to turn down a move to win some titles and possibly a good run at champions league. One thing I am sure, Alexis is hungry for some success. He has wasted a lot of time at Arsenal and won't be there this season.

What a fucking clown, joining that joke league. No ambition.

Stay fair, they didn't do too bad in the Champions League last year and are able to win it. Even more if they should really sign Neymar.

I could understand it. Yes the league is poor (still Monaco eliminated two of the best english teams) but as mentioned, they are able to win the CL. Paris isn't the worst place to live and the salary shouldn't be that bad either.

How do you know we don't know? Sanchez is the transfer we have had least control over. If PSG came in and Sanchez was keen then we were always going to miss out because Arsenal wouldn't sell him to us unless it was a last resort.

No doubt we have other targets.

Maybe, maybe not. I don't know but it's weird that they've decided now, especially in the middle of that giant conflict in the Middle East, to fuck it and buy whoever they want at whatever cost. And choose 3 city targets and no one else

Not getting Sanchez would be a big blow seeing as City were seemingly so confident about it. I never actually thought we would get him this summer but my mind was eased in the assumption we'd have somebody else of a similar standard lined up, i'm no longer that confident we do have another option, who is available?

The attack needs that player like Sanchez who can grip the game by the neck when we have our backs against the walls and produce something from nothing when we can't break teams down.

Aguero used to do it but in the role he plays now as the focal point he can't really do it, doesn't have the license to drift where he wants and is therefore rather easily marked out the game if we're not completely dominant. Sterling isn't one for doing it, he's too safe and doesn't seem to have the confidence to do it if he doesn't start the game on fire. Sane can but seems to blow hot and cold in that regard and sometimes appears to not fancy it and is content to just play the safe option like Sterling. Jesus,Bernardo and Silva are all different types of players, more enablers, more likely to be the start or end of a bit of magic than the ones to do it themselves. KDB is the closest thing we've got to it but we need more. Sanchez fits the bill perfectly, Neymar does too but there's no way he's leaving and if he did, could we match PSG after what we've already spent? Dembele is a talent but he's a bit different and seems to want Barca.

If it's not happening we need to get a move on and draw a line under it, we can't go into the season with what we have at present, Aguero,Jesus,Sane and Sterling is not enough, if just one of them gets injured/banned/fatigued/out of form, suddenly we become predictable and have no options on the bench. Others can fill but it's not ideal and it remains to be seen if Roberts will prove himself good enough to be kept around

Our only hope of Arsenal selling him to us was somehow convincing Sanchez he would only move to us and no one else. That's a tough sell and we seemed to do a decent job, but Arsenal played chicken and Sanchez looks like the one who has blinked first.

Not arsed personally, really didn't think it made a lot of sense as a signing.

If they weren't prepared to sell to us why make him our no1 target and chase him all summer

Because the player made all the right noises about only wanting us. Because we thought we would the only show in town. Maybe PSG have only just become an option and possibly a more lucrative one at that. Who knows. We were obviously confident at getting it done in the end. Now that doesn't seem to be the case.

If we don't aim for this level of player we will never get them. And you would probably say we should have tried to get him at least.
