Alexis Sanchez

I get all that. Doesn't explain how Arsenal will behave any differently (they won't). We won't get him in January. Arsenal will ask too much and try to dick us around just like they did. Why wouldn't they? We will put in a desultory low bid; they'll say no and that will be it until summer. We aren't going to relive this movie. Not even sure him putting a transfer request changes it. Arsenal will look like even bigger idiots to their fan base if they sell him to us for a third of August's price four months later.

Arsenal accepted our bid for him, they don't need to behave any differently. Wenger wanted him out at the end.

But now they'll have 4 months to find the replacement, and 4 months of Sanchez being a complete cancer in the dressing room, bitching and moaning and pulling the media spotlight on them to act as a motivator.

He doesn't strike me as the playing up type,i think he will knuckle down and get on with it especially if pep reassures him we'll be back for him in jan

Because he was Pep's first choice signing out of the whole window.

He wanted him in 2016 as well according to Mullock.

Pep thinks he's a missing piece, we'll definitely go back IMO unless something crazy happens.

It's perfect for us as well, The main reason we needed him was to take us to that elite level from 4/5 to 5/5 and 90% of the games where that matters are after January. CL knockouts, FA Cup, the business end of the league.

Unless he downs tools to a noticeable degree, then Arsenal won't sell in January either. We're dealing with the hard to anticipate variable of a clown of a manager so deluded and consumed with bitterness about selling to City, that unless Gazidis steps him and puts a stop to it, he will do the same thing again in the demented belief that it's somehow in Arsenal's best interests.

Still if all is as they are reporting then as Monaco had to do with Mbappe in the end Arsenal will have to let him come to us the only difference being Arsenal are getting nothing only a loan fee from us.

PSG offered in excess of the market value, blowing ourselves and Real Madrid out of the water. It was an offer Monaco felt they couldn't refuse.

Hopefully Arsenal will transfer him to us in January, still not sure why you are thinking "a loan" would be done??

Wenger probably would be happy to keep Sanchez if he plays as a professional, however It is uncertain how he will react at the moment.

They aren't going to find a replacement in January; who's going there, especially if they struggle? They knew all along we wanted him and could have been looking months ago. Everyone already knows he's unhappy -- him acting out doesn't change anything and only damages him. I know he has the rep as being volatile, but my guess is he pulls a Milner and keeps his head down instead. He isn't going AWOL like Tevez.

Why wouldn't he down tools? It's not like Coutinho with 5 years left on his contract, he's got 4 months, and 1/4 that he'll be with Chile on international duty.

15 games acting like he did on Sunday and they'll wrap up the deal on NYD.
